Rare factory fuel injected 1976 Eldo up for auction. NO RESERVE, bid early and often! This Caddy is truly one of a kind, with rare factory black paint, working Continental kit and fuel injection. Matching numbers 500 8.2 Liter V8, 54k miles on odometer. The Caddy had been barely used by the previous owner who had it garaged since 1986, the mileage is supposed to be original but I have no way of verifying. My mechanic thinks the mileage could be original because of how well the engine runs and the overall condition. Custom dual exhaust from engine back, done right with welded pipes and Flowmaster mufflers. Front end in good shape; I did new front axle driveshafts, various bushings and shocks and a four wheel alignment when I got her two years ago. Heat works; air conditioning compressor turns on but does not blow cold. New Goodyear Ultra Grip whitewall tires all around, paid almost $900 for set. Working Continental kit on rear bumper, actually holds the spare tire. Padded black leather dash in perfect condition. Built in radar detector and stereo with new speakers all around. New top with glass back window in 2006, motor disconnected but top can be easily put up and down manually. Top motor available on Ebay for $240 including shipping, easily replaced by removing the back seat. I never bothered doing it because it's so easy to put it up and down. Top has one small cut above front passenger seat which has been patched, not in a stress spot, doesn't leak. This was a nasty surprise when we came out of a concert one night, some drunken idiot must have used a key. I had new fender and bumper fillers all around (over $1000 installed for all four corners, plus the sections in the rear between bumper and trunk). Power windows work well. Interior is nice, leather in decent shape but could use a good cleaning. Paint is original but still shines up nicely, small areas of rust repair by rear wheels and hood lip, visible up close. Bumpers are a bit dull and could use rechroming. A new gloss black paint job would make the Caddy truly stunning. The body is very straight, never hit, always garaged and babied. Very few 1976 Eldos came with fuel injection, very rare and adds substantial power to the engine (40 horsepower above the carbureted motor) as well as improved fuel efficiency. The combination of true dual exhaust and fuel injection makes this Eldo a breed apart, so powerful you can spin the tires if you accelerate quickly. Cruises nicely on the highway, holds the road perfectly. Engine starts easily, doesn't leak anything, garage floor always dry when I pull her out. Runs very strong, tracks straight as an arrow and brakes evenly, no pulling or fading. She idles well, shifts smoothly, stops easily and the suspension is luxurious. Drives overall like a Caddy should. She's roadworthy, all directional/brake/turn signal/headlights work, even the cool triple fender light indicators. VIN is 6L67S6Q241419. I've got easily over $10k into her, but we've got a baby on the way and we need the money more than the car. Hopefully she'll go to a good home. She's a pleasure on the highway and driving around town, I always get smiles and "thumbs up" when people see the Caddy coming. Rare classic Caddy which will only appreciate in value!
