1978 Triumph Bonneville

1978 Triumph T140E Bonneville 750 This is a NEW, 100% original bike. NOT A RESTORATION. Previously listed as "Collectibles - Transportation", now re-listed as "e-bay Motors - Motorcycle", with lower price. Miles on the odometer are from rolling it around for over 30 years, the bike has never been started. Tank interior is not rusted. As age can deteriorate rubber bits whether the bike is ridden or not, there are some parts on the bike that would need to be changed before the bike could safely be ridden on the highway. A nicer example of one of the last Bonnevilles ever built at the Meriden factory will be VERY hard to find. The late owner, a country gentleman from England, bought this bike and shuffled it around over the years moving from place to place with his work. It was found in his living room when he passed on, almost as though it had just left the back corner of an old Triumph dealership. It has the slightest patina on it, mostly dust, no rust, no tears, no scratches; it will sparkle like new with nothing more than an hour or two with some water and a soft cleaning pad. The left front blinker was cracked when it was maneuvered into position in storage after the late owner's passing, but an almost identical genuine Lucas blinker was found among his stash of spares, and the cracked unit will be replaced before shipping. Once replaced, the difference will be indistinguishable. I will not list the specifications, they are as new. I cannot list running condition, it is assumed to be as new. The engine and frame numbers match, of course. The bike will be delivered with the original clear title in the late owner's name, signed by his nephew who is the estate administrator. Notarized copies of estate administration documents will also be provided. I have listed and sold many bikes on e-bay, always with very lengthy detailed descriptions and many photos; check my feedback, there is zero negative feedback involving bike sales. In this case, there was limited time available to properly photograph the bike as we cleared the contents from the late owner's property, and we had several other bikes to deal with. At that time, it was anticipated that the bike would be shipped back to England, so we didn't concern outselves with detailed photos; but the decision has been made to sell it. Additional photos can be taken, but the logistics are significant and will involve imposing on friends who have already done a significant amount of work to safely store the bike.
