2002 Honda Valkyrie

2002 is the 2nd to the last year for the 1500 Valkyrie and is the lowest production year built with only 600 made for the U.S. Most of those were solid black, but this one year only color combo of black with factory painted red center stripe is a rare one as is the other color of blue with stripe. All 2003 were black. I am the 2nd owner of this wonderful, documented, cared for classic. Original owner was a retired Auto shop teacher who knew how to care for his vehicles and in fact I bought 2 bikes from him. I purchased this last year and have enjoyed it some this year, but I am buying a new bike and too many bikes in the stable, so this rare 02 can be yours. The photos here were all taken today, Saturday June 4th during a 150+ mile ride along Lake Michigan. All the 2002 Valkyrie's were Standards. No Tourers or Interstates. Original owner spent big money ordering Honda parts to make this a Tourer. Factory Honda windshield and saddlebags, adding substantial to it's value and desirability. Doubt you will see another! This is #165 of the 600. The original selling invoice is included. Bike new was $11,000. All the books, records etc included. Note the 2002 has a higher polished factory wheel than previous years. NO RUST, NO SCRATCHES, NO SCRAPES, NO DENTS,NEVER DOWN. No disappointments here. The Valkyrie has been and will continue to be a desired Big cruiser and with the 02 being the lowest production run (look on ebay completed and current and see how many 02's you see.......)and only year for this color combo, just makes this one very collectible and desirable.. I regret offering the bike for sale, but it should be sold. The Buy It Now includes the amplified audio system you see on the bike that allows you to plug in via small phono plug your ipod, iphone or satellite radio. There is a 12 volt accessory outlet on the handlebars. If an offer less than the Buy It Now is accepted, I will remove the audio system, so in short, If you WANT the audio system and the bike just as shown, you have to use the Buy It Now, if you don't want the audio, make an offer you can pay, and if accepted, you own the bike without the audio system.
