1968 1/2 ford torino gt 2 door fastback . r code 428 cobra jet rebuilt engine .rebuilt original c-6 automatic transmission . 4.11 geared 9" rearend 28 spline axels. bucket seat interior , floor shift with console . factory tach dash .this car was original lime green metallic , with the ivy gold interior. it was repainted the current black flip flop paint job in the late 80's. the interior was changed to the current white interior at that time. this was a car that was used by the colorado city colorado ford dealer as a drag car when new . totally rust free ,arrow straight . balanced and bluprinted engine built by vegas machine and crankshaft . trw forged pistons, adjustable valvetrain ,police interceptor aluminum intake , 4609 holley ,rollmaster timing gear with torringon bearing cam thrust plate,billet oil drive & rocker shafts ,bluprinted oil pump. hooker headers ,new bfg high performance 150mph tires .i have been restoring the car for 5 or 6 years , getting the drive train straight and proper. new restoration alternator,original nos ford belts,fuel pump .original clutch fan c8oe, radiator . rebuilt original c-6 with the vin number stamped on it. it's an original cobra jet hot rod .built to run on both street and track . the ford dealership removed the original power steering system and replaced it with the proper manual steering system for weight savings . the original disc brakes are still in place . the hood is a replacement hood with a hole cut in it for ram air and it has a factory 69 cobra jet mustang hood scoop .it came factory with a flat hood no-scoop .autolite battery with all the proper battery cables hoses ,engine feed wiring harness,alternator wiring harness , spark plug wires . i have done quite a bit towords the restoration using all the right ford parts ,but it need more and i am selling it as a work in progress . the engine has never been fired . it is ready to fire hot battery and all but it needs to go to a shop and have real mechanic fire it off . the oil pump needs primed ,you may want to pull the spark plugs . i built the engine in 2006 ,so it has set in the car over 5 years . i am by my self and just never wanted to start it up alone. i wanted a key twister and someone under the hood to set the timing, and just never had that 2nd person. so here it is . i do have the reciepts for the engine rebuild and trans rebuild that will go to the owner. i have the original car keys ,clear nevada title in my name . this is the real deal . the best america ever build ,in prestine restorable condition, historic race history that should be tracable .rare to start with 660 torino gt's made in 68 . very few exist today .there are a few things i want to disclose to everyone ,but no more space ,so call tim gilliam for more info 702 897-9852 . the car need to be picked up by the end of this month . call me
