Vehicle Detail
It was finished in 2008, and was done by Corvette Village (mechanical) and by Midwest Vette LLC (Body and engine). Matching numbers 327 automatic. Drives like a dream - and convertibles are more fun!On Jun-01-11 at 09:59:59 PDT, seller added the following information: This 327 matching numbers convertible was found in Ft. Lauderdale and shipped to Kansas City for restoration. It is Ermine White with red interior and leather (not vinyl) seats. The black top is date coded and purchased from Ecklers. Midwest Vette did the body work, including the wonderful paint job, and reconditioned the 327 engine. It has PS and PB, and the look alike radio contains a cassette player. That is the only part that would not be in the car when it left the factory. Wiring and harness has been replaced to eliminate any electrical problems. The battery has a disconnect to avoid ambient electric static that could draw down the battery. The transmission has been examined and tuned by Certified Transmission in Grandview, MO. The list of work and parts can be furnished to the buyer. The mileage is "exempt" as we don't know actual, but it has been driven only 235 miles since restoration was completed in 2010, and has no road rash. The color combination is the same as the original '53 corvette. Sitting in the red interior looking out over the white hood is just great. The public always wants to look at the car and ask questions. Unfortunately we won't be able to cover the high cost of restoration as it exceeded the market. The corvette runs great and is a car to be proud of. The buyer will be the envy of his friends and neighbors, and convertibles are more fun to drive than coups ( I've had both ). Car is sold as is. The photos tell the story. If you send me your email I will send 5 photos to you.
