Vehicle Detail

This is a 1960 Austin Healey 3000 MK 1 restoration project started ten years ago. It is currently partially rebuilt. All removed parts have been cleaned, painted and restored where necessary. The engine was totally rebuilt professionally in 2001 and has never been run. Twice a year the cylinders are lubed with mystery oil and it is turned over by starter. It has new pistons, tappets, rod bushings, oil and water pumps, intake and exhaust valves and springs, valve seats, camshaft bearings, timing chain, clutch disk and engine mounts. The transmission and overdrive have not been serviced but were in good working condition in 1972 when last driven. The frame is from California and has NO damage or rust. Great floors, rockers, sills, outriggers and perfect chassis. The radiator is original and has been steam flushed and pressure tested professionally. The wheels are spoked but not chrome and need tuning and painting. The rear fenders are good with light rust under right rear bottom. There are no front fenders for this car. The seats are in good condition with acceptable vjnyl upholstory. New carpeting is included for later installation. The vinyl top and frame and the tonneau cover are in good condition. The side screens are in good condition. All brakes have been reconditioned with new pads, shoes and caliper rebuilds. The twin carburators were both rebuilt and will require tuning. There is no exhaust system for this car. Most of the wiring has been completed, but tracing will be required due to differences from the Healey manual wiring charts. Also included with this offer are a number of spare parts which I've collected over time including: 2 rear fenders, 1 metal and 1 fiberglass 2 complete bucket seats bumper trunk lid 4 rear brake drums with back plates 4 rear axles differential rocker panel 2 drive shafts Tecalemit oil filter assembly roll bar with mounting hardware dashboard (bare - no instruments) 6 brake shoes 2 rear bumper spring bars new driveshaft tunnel - Moss # 805-775 new rear rt. & lft. fender repair panels - Moss # 857- 500 & 510 2 new bump stop boxes - Moss # 806-180 These parts will be included with the car and are not for sale individually. This Healey is sold as is, where is, and with no warranties implied or expressed. No shipping. Must pickup. Bring a car trailer as this car will not drive home. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction end by certified check or cash in person.
