Vehicle Detail
this car is in REMARKABLE condition--obviously re-painted at some point in its life, but was COMPLETELY disassembled before the paint was applied--no overspray anywhere on the rubber seals--- HONDA should have made red one of the available colors for these perky little coupes--it gets more attention than ANY other car i've ever owned--definitely not for the introverted driver--i'm CONSTANTLY bombarded with photo requests and questions (not to mention lots of smiles and thumbs-up!) every time i take her out for a drive--it's been a real blast to have owned this car the last 4 years---i'll miss her terribly the 600cc 36hp engine has NEVER failed to start easily and go ANYWHERE i've taken it (never in the rain, of course!) and i've only had to replace the condenser and points recently as a precaution-- although i obviously can't verify the miles, i tend to believe the odometer at just over 9,000 miles--it will have a few more than the posted amount at the end of the auction because i do drive it occasionally--the transmission shifts like butter (fully syncronized in all 4 forward gears) and it purrs happily along at 65mph with just a light touch on the accelerator--gets around 40mpg--maybe better, but i never really cared to check it. All the doorlocks and latches (even the fuel door lock and rear plastic hatch latch) are working perfectly (as well as ALL the light switches, bulbs, and even the heater) which is REALLY amazing for a car this old that was so very inexpensive to purchase when it was new--most have suffered premature deaths due to rust, neglect, and abuse--this car is a real survivor--even the chrome is still beautiful! the back-up light switch is stuck, so i disconnected it--and the speaker for the ORIGINAL radio is non-op--the radio turns on, but no sound---and the original wiper blades need to be replaced. that's the sum total of its deficiencies--- the car has 5 MATCHING tires (and the original tool kit still in the compartment with the spare)--the 4 tires on the car have at least 85% tread remaining--- please feel free to call me at 707-548-8457 to ask any and all questions --i never get tired of talking about this car-- sorry if i've left out any important details, but i think you get the point--this is an EXTREMELY rare find in this condition and will give its new owner many happy miles in the future-- it's an unmolested example of a rapidly appreciating japanese classic--you'll be hard pressed to find another example this clean i even have the original owner's manual in the glove box!
