Vehicle Detail

This is my 2001 Suzuki Bandit GSF1200s. The pictures should speak for themselves, but I will do my best to describe this bike being sold. THIS BIKE IS CLEAN!!! I am the second owner of this bike. As you can see, it has been very well looked after. Unmolested and unaltered with the exception of the optional grip warmers installed prior to my ownership. It has always been adult ridden and owned. For the most part it looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. It's got some very light stone chips on the front forks, and boot marks on the foot rest brackets and some very faint scuffs if you look very closeley. It requires a 3 minute warm up on choke for it to be good to go--something I'm used to with my old bikes. Once off choke, it pulls hard through all gears and is smooth as glass going down the road. No smoke, no rattles, no funny business. I purchased it from a good friend of mine some months ago, thinking I'd be the sport touring type--truth is, I have dealt mainly in vintage motorcycles for the past several years and it has become apparent I'm not going to stray from that path. It was, however, refreshing to have a bike that is so utterly dependable and predictable, as this bike is. Just this month, I rode this bike with some buddies and their bikes up and down the central coast of California, from San Simeon to Carmel and we found every twisty road in between. This Bandit was very quick and nimble through those country roads and maintained well over 90 (and well over 100) mph on HWY 101 with plenty more throttle left. I've had the bike over 130 mph, which is way faster than I ever need to go again, but still, there was way more left in the tank. The bottom line is, this is more bike than I need and the money brought from this sale will serve me better by keeping my old Italian bikes rattling down the road. The title is clean and clear and in my name. Tags are current until January 2012. No DMV hassles. The bike comes with a full set of factory keys, a complete factory service manual, complete tool kit and a Zero Gravity windshield that I have not yet installed. It is about 325 miles into a fresh Motul oil change. Tires have lots of tread and chicken strips to spare. Front brake pads are getting a bit thin, but have some miles left in them. I may replace them prior to the sale. As always, I'm interested in motorcycle related trades. I'll listen to what you've got, but I don't want your junked, or clapped out crashed bikes. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. Shipping is up to the buyer, though I will help wherever I can. I can store the bike for an agreed upon amount of time as long as it has been paid in full per the auction policy--in this case 7 days.
