If you have been patiently waiting and looking for a pampered, unmolested ’93 Cobra at the right price, your patience just paid off. This is the car you’ve been waiting for! First about me... I’m 62 years old. I sold a successful hot rod hardware business and retired in 2004. At the time I owned a ’66 427 Cobra roadster, a ’65 Shelby GT 350 and this ’93 Cobra. All these vehicles have been treated like they were my children. Unfortunately, to be retired some toys must go. The roadster has been gone for 3 years now and in my 7 years of retirement the Cobra has been driven maybe 1000 miles per year. Since the Shelby has seniority with 36 years in our family, the Cobra is the next to go. Now about the car… I purchased the car from the original owner in 1995. It had very low miles and was in stock pristine condition. I was looking for a Saleen at the time but after my 16-year relationship with my Cobra I have no regrets. It’s never missed a beat. To this day it runs and drives like new. The car was originally purchased in Merced, California and was soon brought to Arizona. It has always been garaged, kept with a cover and only driven in good weather. The vast majority of its’ miles have been open highway calling on customers for my business. Notice photos of the steering wheel, shift knob, and drivers’ seat for clues on how hard a cars miles have been. I have seen many Cobras with half the miles that show more wear. Engine and running gear are 100% stock. I made a handful of bolt on upgrades, all of which could be put back to stock in less than a day. Modifications are: Eibach variable rate performance springs and Koni adjustable shocks and struts which lower the car to just the right height and greatly improve handling, K&N filter, tinted windows (a must in the Arizona desert) and Kenwood receiver. I have the original springs, shocks, struts, and stereo. The final improvement made the car much more drivable. If you know these cars, you know in ’93 cruise control was not an option, making it not so much fun on long highway drives. Since these were my primary miles in the car, I went to considerable expense to have cruise control professionally installed. Best investment I made! Except for a few small rock chips in nose (see photos) this car is mint, not even a door ding. It looks, runs and drives like new. It comes with all documentation, window sticker, SVT certificate, manuals, key tags, etc. It also comes with 3 sets of floor mats: the original set (with wear), a new set of original in the Ford box (very hard to find) and some very cool aftermarkets. Also included is a Wolf custom bra, Ultra Club steering wheel lock, and a North Country Tarpaulin Works custom car cover. The tires are new (see photos). The paint is original and excellent. The interior is original and flawless (rear seat has been sat on maybe 3 or 4 times). I hope my Cobra will go to someone who will appreciate it and care for it in the same manner I have for the last 16 years. This is not a fishing expedition for me, nor is it an attempt to flip a car for profit. I fully intend to sell my car in this auction.
