Vehicle Detail
1979 Lincoln Continental "Givenchy" Edition 400 CID V8 gasoline engineC-6 automatic transmission4-wheel disc brakesHolley carburetorTurbine wheels w/ fair tiresHide-a-way headlightsOdometer reads "16814" This car has been sitting for years. All I have done is drove it 6 miles from where it sat to my house. That being said, I do not know a lot about it. But here is what I do know: It runs really crappy right now, could use a good tuneup (plugs, wires, cap, rotor)The rear right caliper was seized from sitting (the rim was really hot by the time I got home) so I backed the piston off. Now the brakes will hardly stop the car. MUST BE FIXED FIRST OR TRAILERED.The rear right tail light lens broke. This happened in the yard here. My bad.The little triangle wing window thing on the drivers side came out of the track and fell into door. That also happened recently when testing the windows. Some paint peeling on hood mostly, may need a paint job soon! The interior could use some attention, some cracking on the dash and seats. Some good things I know about it: Its all there and unadulterated.Very little if any rust. It has a good drive train- runs well for sitting so long. Doesn't knock or smoke. Shifts well. Its a cool old car that would be a great place to start for a project! This is one of the last big, classic cruisers before they shrunk them.If you have any other questions, please e-mail. I will try to answer any questions as soon as possible. Thank you for your interest and good luck. -Trevor
