this is a very good example of a 1931 hudson great eight. this car was used in the 1971 movie "FOOLS PARADE" with james Stewart,Strother Martiin and George Kennedy,i have a movie poster,and autographed picture you can see, James Stewart actualy drove this car.it is all steel very little if any putty, always in a garage,very solid no rust ! . the body is in very straight original condition i see no rust ! the engine runs and has had new coil,plugs wires,and points,condenser etc. the vacuum system was disconnected years ago and a electric fuel pump installed,that works fine.new exhaust,radiator is good and solid and has been professionaly cleaned and checked no leaks. the radiatior shroud, front bumper and pieces have been rechromed some years ago.the pan under the radiator behind the bumper is here and in great condition. we basicaly have everything you need to restore it.the interior is original 1931 and needs replaced tho i still showed it and got comments on how cool it was to be original. i have a robe rail and the foot rail is there,it has the original trunk rack,tail light,and cowllights.i also have the spare tire and wheel that goes on the passenger fender.the transmission shifts effortlesly and the brakes work well too.tires hold air but need replaced.I aquired this car thru a family estate and it has been i the family since 1964 when it was purchased from the original owner.if you arelooking for a rare first class classic antique car this is it!
