Selling an extremely rare 1984 Honda CRX with an Automatic Transmission. A great collectors car with it being the 1st year of the 1st Generation, in 100% original condition, clean and well maintained. The CRX was the Import Car of the Year for Motor Tread Magazine in 1984. The very low mileage CRX originated from Florida, had been garage kept for 24 years and rarely driven. I recently drove the CRX from Florida to Maine where it ran great and had averaged 43 MPG. The CRX is equipped with AC and blows out cool air. The CRX is also equipped with a cruise control switch, but do not believe it still works. The CRX has a new Honda aluminum rear window louver kit (the louver kit can no longer can be ordered through a Honda Dealer). I still have the factory box, fastening hardware & instructions for mounting the louver (Some of the pictures show the louver just setting in place). The Front Wheel Drive 2-Door Hatchback has the 1.5L L4 2BL Engine (Original engine - Engine Number EW1- 1510480) . The automatic transmission shifts through its gears properly. The exhaust system and brakes are in good condition.The CV Joints are new, new fuel filter and oil & filter have just been changed. There is a new State Safety Inspection Sticker that expires in April 2012. About the only items that are non-stock is the wheel trim rings and the Kenwood CD Stereo System w/remote control and seat covers. The P175 70R 13” matching radial tires still have 80-90% Tread-life left. The CRX is completely Rust Free. The original paint still has a good shine. Both front plastic fenders , nose piece and drivers side lower door molding had been replaced due to cracking over the years. There is a small shopping cart dent on the passenger side door. There is a small 2" crack on the passenger side lower plastic door molding (A spare door molding will go with the sale). A new high quality water-proof car cover is included with the sale. The gas fill cover release cable sticks sometimes so would need either to be lubricated or replaced. The interior is in very good condition for the year. Has new color-coordinated seat covers. There are some small tears on the original seat coverings. CRX Floor Mats cover the original carpeting, which is clean and in good condition, but has some stains on the passenger side floor. The interior headliner has developed fine cracks over the years, but are not very noticeable as seen in one of the pictures. Along with the Experian Auto Check Report, a Full Carfax Vehicle History Report is included with the sale (both reports mentions an odometer issue of exceeding mechanical limits of 100,000 miles) . Included is a copy of the prior owners Florida Title. The State of Maine does not issue Titles for vehicles that are over 15 years old. If an out-of-state buyer requires a Title, then I am able to sign over & transfer my current registration to them; which should be adequate in obtaining a Title in their State. Sale includes the original 1984 Owners Manual, Warranty Booklets, and a Chilton Repair Service Book. I will consider delivering the CRX at a convenient location within 100 miles and possibly further if travel expenses are covered.
