1995 Chevrolet Caprice Police Anyone looking knows that the 1994-1996 Caprice Police Package vehicles are the best platform in history. This one is equipped with the LT1 engine, the same engine as in the Corvette's, but with better factroy computer tuning. As time passes, there are less and less of the LT1's around. I purchased this vehicle last year from Prince William County VA. Their vehicles are know for the extensive maintenance history. I purchased this one in particular since it was not a patrol car, was used since new as parking enforcement, then moved the last couple years to School Crossing Patrol. I really encourage anyone that is able, PLEASE come to inspect and drive this!! Nothing to hide. My mechanic and I went through this entire car. It really needs nothing. I did not plan on a transmission issue, but after using a little while, it developed a slipping between 2-3 gear. We installed a Mr Goodwrench transmission and used synthetic fluid. It is tight as can be!! Cost was just over $1,600.00 just for the transmission work. I am purchasing a garage, and some of my toys need to go. This car will not disappoint. I also tediously removed the seats, front and back to remove the old carpet. Installed a brand new factory molded carpeting. One piece! Tough job, and there was not a bit of rust under anywhere. The end result, as you can see in the pictures, is well worth it. Car is like new inside. This car is super responsive, and smooth. No rattles, shakes, or shimmy. I am 45 years old, and the days of burning tires are past, but this one will roast em' !!!!
