This is a 1956 Chrysler Windsor with four doors. We purchased this vehicle at an estate auction about 8 years ago when we lived in Vermont. It does not have a title since Vermont does not issue any titles for vehicles over 15 years old. It drove okay when we bought it. We had planned on having the vehicle completely restored but never got around to it. It has been mostly just sitting since we bought it. We started it up last year to move it from one spot on our property to another. It needs at a minimum an alternator, new brakes and a new battery. We do have some old maintenance records and things that came with it, as well as the original manual. From the papers that we were given when we bought it is the following info: The car was purchased new by a doctor in Gadsden, Alabama. He is thought to have used it to make house calls. It has an automatic push button transmission, V8 Engine and factory power steering. The V8 Spitfire engine is rated 225 hp @ 4400 RPM. One of the previous owners recovered the seats and installed seatbelts (2 front, 3 back, lap belts). They also rebuilt the water pump, put new wheel cylinders, hoses, belts, plugs and wires. I do have some of the receipts for this work that look to be dated 1999. Please look at the photos carefully. The car will need work. It can not be driven anywhere the way it is and you will need to have it trailered. If you have any questions please just send us an email.
