NO RESERVE AUCTION ! 1997 JAGUAR XJ6 This car looks just like the Jaguars in the Whitesnake MTV Videos. VERY SHARP- head turner! White with dark tinted windows, Moonroof, Tan interior. Alpine CVA 1009 6.5" display/monitor with an Alpine CHA-5634 6 disc changer (MP3 player) Stock rims- all good, no dings or gouges. Interior is good- Headliner needs to be tucked back in. Cupholder needs to be replaced. All power seats work, A/C works, heat works, power mirrors work, power antenna works. Sport shifting mode works, Power moonroof works. Power tilt works, Cruise control works... I drove this car for the better part of 2 years. No winters. You can verify that this was a NJ vehicle (no road salt) The undercarriage is solid and undercoated. Regular oil changes. Belts just changed. 2 ignition coil packs replaced last fall. Last year, I left the lights on during a rainstorm, I jumped the battery with another car to get it started. Apparently that was a no-no. Dealer said I may have damaged an electrical module- it needs to be replaced and reprogrammed. There are service lights on the dashboard telling me something is wrong. Car runs fine. Dealer quoted me ~ $800.00. The vehicle was schedule to go back to the dealer to be repaired this spring, but our local dealer here in Syracuse has folded and the nearest dealer is 80 miles away. I have found many, many Jag parts places that sell these modules cheap online. That's not the problem. Finding someone with the correct diagnostic equipment locally, is (like a dealer) and 160 miles @ $4.00/gal is not my idea of a good time! Especially when most dealerships take 3 visits to get anything correct! So- I am willing to sell her. She is a ton of fun to drive. The inside still smells of Mahogony and Leather. This will be an awesome car for anyone with some mechanical talent or maybe someone who has a family member who can help. I am looking to purchase a motorcycle, if anybody has a decent trade- lemme know!
