For sale by original private owner. Have the original window sticker, sales brochure, magazine reviews, and all service records. This car is the original-design 9,000 RPM 240 HP roadster that set the record for horse power per displacement for a normally aspirated engine (after 2003, the engine was changed to a lower redline). Year 2002 was the first year with a glass rear window (previously plastic) and upgraded transmission. In my opinion, the 2002 and 2003 models are the most desirable for this car. When the designer of the S-2000 was asked what he would change if he could, he said "nothing, the design is perfect." You have to drive one to see what he means. Red leather interior with optional spoiler on back. Purchased new by me in May of 2002 from Penske Honda in Indianapolis; nonsmoker, never wrecked, modified or any major repairs. Comes with second set of Honda original equipment aluminum wheels and winter tires. Slight cracking of leather on drivers side as can be seen in pictures. Convertible roof with glass window in perfect condition. Always garaged. In-town mileage consistently 25-27 mpg with moderate driving. Never track driven. Due to some hail dents in May of 2008, the hood was replaced with a new Honda original-equipment aluminum hood. This is a fun car, but I need something more practical for family use.
