Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this striking 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible Tribute. This car spent most of its life in the dry climate of Nevada as a 1972 Lemans Sport Convertible. The main body, engine and transmission work to make it into a 1970 GTO was done in Nevada a number of years ago. The car is painted in beautiful Atoll Blue, an original 1970 GTO Judge color and has a like-new, Dark Blue, Stay Fast convertible top. The colors of the exterior Judge stripes are the original Pontiac colors for 1970: Light Blue, Orange, Hot Pink and Atoll Blue. The striping is flourescent ( check the night photos)! Most of the chrome and stainless trim is new, What was not replaced is very good. The car comes with its original Rally Wheels painted Silver with Atoll Blue insets and rides on excellent P235/60R15 raised, white-letter, Indy 500 Firehawk Tires. This car really catches the eye--day or night! During the Nevada portion of the restoration, the 400 engine was rebuilt with an upgraded cam along with a 16 head (made "F038" or June 3, 1968). These give the engine a "small" boost in horsepower. The transmission is a Turbo 400 Autiomatic (which I believe has been upgraded with a shift kit) . The car has power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. I do not currently have the AC hooked up but my mechanic says he believes all it needs is a belt, refridgerant, and a new fan switch. The dual exhaust is like-new and puts out a great rumble. Grrrr! This car is a fantastic driving machine and "Yes!" it can move! Over the three years that I have had the car, I have more or less finished the restoration. The engine has had a thorough going over again, was tuned up,and had all needed gaskets and belts replaced. The Enduro bumper and hood were repainted and a new wiper moter and wiper arms were installed. I also installed a new black interior: new bucket seat covers over new foam and springs; new door panels; new carpet; new dash cover with new AC vents; new arm rests along with new door handles and window cranks; new console lid cover; new ignition switch and door locks, new door jams; new courtesy lights; replaced dash lights; new radio/CD player (Alpine) along with new stereo speakers (Dual). I have replaced the weather striping and window "fuzzies"and, while at it, had the windows aligned; installed new door jams and realigned the doors; and installed a mechanical mirror on the driver's side. The convertible top was restretched and had a new bead along the back added as the original would have had. At the same time, I replaced the back window and put in a new well liner. This car looks as good on the inside as it does on the outside! This '70 GTO Judge Tribute was recently appraised at $38000 by one of the country's most respected classic car dealerships. One of the original 1970 GTO Atoll Blue Judge Convertibles that this recreation was based upon recently sold at auction for over 1/3 million dollars! If you want a perfect car, this car is probably not the one for you. But if you want a great driver that looks good and turns heads, this car could well be your best opportunity to own a great driving muscle car for a price way below book value! Priced to Sell! Come see and drive the car!
