1999 BMW 528ia, Sport & Premium Packages. Car is in exceptional overall condition. Stunning color combination of Metallic Oxford Green with Camel Leather Interior. Always maintained and kept detailed to a high degree. Same adult owner last 9 years. Here is a short video of the car: http://youtu.be/p-wlOxpiqn4 Mechanically the car is excellent. 2.8 liter engine and automatic transmission operate as they should and deliver silky smooth performance. Oil and filter changes have been performed at 5,000 to 6,000 mile intervals instead of the BMW recommended 10,000 to 12,000 miles as indicated by the service lights. All other routine maintenance procedures, plugs, belts, thermostat, radiator flush, brake fluid flush, etc have been done more than recommended. A couple of years ago engine was professionally flushed and freshened up with new valve cover, oil pan and filter housing gaskets to assure no future oil leaks. Transmission has been flushed and serviced as well with new filter and gasket. New Georgia emissions certificate issued last month. The car is showing an average of 22.1 combined mpg via the onboard computer. Four Wheel Disc Brakes operate as they should with current set up being Thermo-quiet pads and two year rotors , all New about 10,000 miles ago along with New brake sensors. They’re smooth and quiet. Suspension is the factory lowered BMW Sport Tuned suspension with gas charged shocks. This car handles better than ANY sedan I have ever driven. It will easily keep up with my Corvette as far has handling ability. Entire electrical system and all components, lights, etc. perform as they should without issue. Exterior is very slick and shiny and shows very well. The Oxford Green Metallic paint is absolutely gorgeous. Car has always been garaged and kept clean and waxed with Silicone Polish. All black trim has always been kept treated with vinyl protectant. Car has absolutely no collision damage. Nose and front bumper have minimal rock chips that have been professionally touched up and buffed. Entire car is practically void of the typical door “dings” however, it HAS picked up a few minor bumps/abrasions here and there over the years from normal use and the trunk/rear bumper paint is starting to show its age just a bit. These slight imperfections do not detract from the overall appearance and incredible appeal of the car. It’s a real beauty. A few years ago a New “rain sensing” windshield was installed, not due to breakage but to simply eliminate the typical road chips. It still looks brand New. The remainder of the glass has been professionally tinted. The rims are the original BBS 17” Sport Edition, wide lip style and are all straight and true and balance well. The clear coat finish on the polished lip is starting to deteriorate and they have a few very mild abrasions on the extreme outer edge. If you wanted perfect, just the outer edge and lip can be refinished at minimum expense as the spokes and caps are all excellent. Tires have been up-sized to 245-45-17 and are very near new. The Interior is very nice as well. The color tones and materials used are spectacular and show little wear. Car has always been kept exceptionally clean and was operated by a small woman driver. No rips, tears, scuffs or unpleasant odors. All electrical components work as they should without exception and the Dual Zone Climate Control System is second to none. No dash “warning lights” or missing pigments in the information center script. Car is equipped with the 6 CD trunk mounted changer with in-dash cassette player. Factory original floor mats show minimum wear. Ashtray has never been used. Owners/operators manual and associated paperwork with its leather cover is in the glove box. I will pass along my file that includes the entire history of the car, maintenance log and records, inspection certificates and EVERY receipt for all the shop work that has been done to the car. In conclusion, this is a very nice example of one of BMW’s best ever models. Car is currently showing 142,000 miles but runs, drives and shows as well as any you will find with half that mileage. I have always been a dedicated “car guy” and the family cruiser has received the same attention as my other collectables and it shows. I have set the reserve at a very reasonable amount as my intent is to sell the car, not toy with people. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, for any reason.
