1983 Jeep CJ7 in fair condition. This vehicle has been off the road for a little over 2 years. The engine was rebuilt about 4 years ago an has about 5000 miles on it. I started it up the other day so it still runs! It does need work! It would be a good candidate for restoration. The body is not bad, The soft top needs to be replaced, the tires are good. It does have some rust. Things that need to be fixed include the odometer, windshield wipers, and some leaky hoses do to the vehicle not being in use. Also a plus is that the vehicle is over 25 years old so it can qualify for historic plates and reduced insurance! I am not a mechanic however I will try to answer any questions you may have. The transmission is automatic with locking 4 wheel drive hubs on the front wheels which still are in working order. The body is not bad, The soft top needs to be replaced, the tires are good. It does have some rust. I needed to have some welding done about 2 years ago in order for the vehicle to pass inspection. The "tub"is fiberglass.
