Up for auction is a 1986 VW Vanagon Syncro that is in great shape. It has a 2.1 lt Wasserboxer that runs great , it has an exhaust leak but no fluid leaks. The tranny shifts fine and is a 5 speed with a granny low. The van is equipped with a rear locker that is currently not working (have not tried to fix yet) but the switch is sending a vacuum to the actuator. It is an all wheel drive van and the VC seems to be working fine. The air conditioning is not working but has been converted to 134A according to the paperwork that I got from the last owner. It has new brakes all the way around and they work great and stop strait. The front dust sheilds are stainless steel. It has new shocks on the rear of the van and I have a almost new set to go on the front, but the ones on it seem fine so I haven't changed them yet. The van is metallic dove blue and the paint is new (could use a little buffing here and there). The interior has been cleaned but it could use a little freshning up. There are no rips or tears in the interior. It has power mirrors that work fine. The wheels and tires are Porshe 911 Turbo wheels off of a 06 911 and the tires are Perelli PZERO front 205/50/ZR17 rear 255/40/ZR17 and they are brand new. The gas tank straps need replacing because they are rusted. This is a great little van for someone who loves Syncros. It drives strait down the road and I have even been to a few car shows with it and got trophies. I bought it to do a Westfalia package on it but really don't have the time.
