Buick Grand National 1987 Origional owner!!!! 1987 Purchased new 08/31/1987 The title is origional , never been reassigned. Appraised by Illinois Appraisal Norther ILL. Classic Auto Brokers on June 09 2006, appraised for $20,000.00 The car had 67,717 miles at time of appraisal, they rated the body as very good condition! There is so much to list here, first of all the story of the vehicle, I'm selling this for the owner I will describe the vehicle and answer any questions to the best of my ability. The owner who was in his mid 40's when he purchased the car bought it new he is now in his 60's and has had his fun with the car and doesn't drive it anymore, hence the auction. This was purchased off the show room floor at Ed Murphy Buick in Shaumberg, Illinois. The purchase price was $18,678. This was never driven in the rain or snow. It has been stored since day one in a heated garage. Never been in an accident. Factory options when purchased ; Power door locks, tinted glass, power windows, elect trunk release, bodyside moldings, 2 speed wipers with delay, rear window defroster, reading lamps, vanity mirror, cruise, power antena concert speakers, power seat, tilt wheel. The protector rustproofing shield. Black Max auto security system 9-29-87, $ 395.00 Professionally repainted in 3/1/1993, this was done by Crown Body shop, never been in an accident, the owner wanted scratches touched up and to bring the factory shine back. The paint is very nice with minor inpurfections. Detailed maintenance record , records from the first oil change at 1,000 miles up to detailed documentation until 66,250 miles. Incredible! Misc: No2 installed in 1998 T38 Turbo installed June 2004 Stainless steel exhaust system installed 2004 Stainless steel headers! larger inner cooler installed at 66,000 miles. Pioneer premier am fm cd player, Kenwood 6x9 300 watt speakers Orion 240 GX 80 watt amp , and Orion 160 Watt 2 channel amp. ( owner does not have origional radio ) Exterior; Looks great! all panels are 100 percent solid with no evidence of rust or body damage. Doors are 100 % solid with no rust, bottoms are very clean and have no rust. Paint is smooth and shiny , small scratch on passenger fender top near windshield half inch long by cm wide. Drivers door trim came loose, owner re glued it and the trim sits a tad higer than it would if it wasnt reglued. Drivers side door jam near upper door hinge surface rust 1 inch by 1/2 inch. Over all very nice but not perfect. Interior; Nearly perfect! Dash is beautiful, seats are clean no rips or obvious signs of wear! Rear seats and passenger seats hardly look to ever have been sit in. Driver seat is also very nice and clean but obviously has a little wear. Vinyl has no rips tears etc. Carpet is near mint. Headliner is perfect. Under carriage; Very clean no rust to speak of. Newer stainless steel exaust chrome rear end cover. Tires; Fronts Good Year Eagle GT II 85 % tread left. Rear tires Nitro NTS SR Extreme Drag 14,000 miles on them. Rims; 6 American Racing , The 4 on the car which look perfect 2 others that have some clear coat pealing. 4 origional Grand National Rims like new! These were only on the car for a few thousand miles. They come with 4 center caps still in boxes!!!!! You will get a total of the 10 rims this is including the 4 on the car. Suspension; Appears to be good, no issues to speak of, the rear shocks are air shocks to raise and lower the rear end. Controls are in the trunk. Engine and performance; Runs great!!!! No leaks! Not a single drip in my garage! Starts up immedialtly and purrs! I did notice a bit of a bog when i stepped on the gas for a second or two I spoke with the owner who stated he believes this to be related to not driving the car. The car since 2004 has been driven less than 7,000 miles. After the hesitation it runs strong and is extremely quick! The steering seemed to drive straight with no pulls shimmies or shakes. The brakes have no known issues. I wouldn't hesitate driving this anywhere. A/C was blowing warm, owner stated it was fine last summer but drove it once. Most likely needs a recharge. Turbo boost controller installed. Transmission; No leaks, shifts good, may have shift kit in it, shifts hard when getting on it, in 1st and 2nd. I asked the owner he said thats normal he wasnt sure if it had a shift kit. All work on this car has been done by Buick or Street Performance in Park Ridge Illinois. The owner never touched the car other than driving it. This car has been meticoulously maintained. Receipts and documents to prove this. Contrarly to all the performance work installed the owner never brought this to a track and raced it. He like his speed and performance and had it when he needed it. The appraisal rated the following; in excellent condition; Chrome, stainless, glass, interior, fenders, doors, quarters, floors, trunk floor, frame,wheels, grill, emblems,weather stripping. They rated the following as very good condition; Paint, top, tires, and hood. If you have questions I will attempt to answer them, I'm not interested in trades of any kinds.
