The battery was dead when we received it, but after sitting on a charger overnight it started up this morning and stayed running after some serious cranking (it's been sitting a while!). DO NOTE: It's "known behavior" for these Nighthawks that the battery only charges after 2,500 rpm and idle is 2,000 - goes dead if not ridden regularly or put on a trickle charger. There's a bit of an exhaust leak near the top muffler, and it did leak some fuel around the carburetor while running - maybe "gunk" inside that needs to be cleaned after sitting? Oh, and because the horn is not working and the Texas inspection is out it'll need to leave on a truck or trailer, if not shipped. Thanks, and Ride Safe, Vehicle Condition Exterior Fully Detailed No Known Body Work No Visible Dents Overall condition is Good Seat is in Fair condition Exterior Notes Overall, and judged against much-newer-model motorcycles, this Nighthawk 650 is in Good shape cosmetically with a Fair-condition seat - would say it's Very Good to Excellent shape in light of its age. The bodywork is straight, the paint's still pretty glossy, and there's no signs of being in a for-real accident. There are 3 paint chips to the top of the fuel tank and some slight scratches to the left side of the rear fender, along with perfectly-acceptable wear-'n-tear/age for a nearly 30-year-old bike (i.e. some peeling around the front brake master cylinder). There's an inch-long tear on the right side of the seat. Also, the tail section/rear fender seems a bit loose - screw/bolt missing somewhere?
