I'm relisting this truck because i had no bidders. To my amazement, no one seemed to think that a 4x4 truck that runs and drives was worth 1,800.00, beside the fact that it's the only year chevy made this body style with Fuel Injection. Well, let's try this again, with a starting price of 1,500.00. Here we go. 1987 CHEVROLET V1500 4X4 4 SPD. MANUEL TRANSMISSION Truck starts and runs strong. Mechanically, the only thing it needs right away, would be a u-joint on the front left differential at the wheel hub. The 4 wheel drive works as it should even with the worn u-joint. Clutch works good, and has alot of pedal. I bought the truck a few months ago to get me to work and back in fowl weather. The truck had been sitting in a friend of mine's yard for a couple of years, he had robbed the ignition module off to put on another truck he had, and just never put one back on this one. All my buddies are getting into jeeps, so of course i have to follow suit, so hence the sale of this truck. I had to put a new ignition module, distributor cap, rotor, starter, battery, fuel injector, tie-rod end, and tires on it. I also rebuilt the throttle body. The truck fired right up and i've been driving to work and around the farm ever since. The truck is a custom deluxe, so no bells and whistles, although it does have Cruise, Tilt, and A/C, the a/c doesn't work, but the compressor is not locked up, for what that's worth. The radio doesn't work, The windshield is cracked, the Driver's door has been hyper-extended which bent it and the left front fender. The driver's side bed is dented up. The hood and passenger side are in pretty good shape. The dash is cracked, the seat has a hole worn out in it. Basically, this a farm truck, with some potential. The front inner fenders are rusted, not sure why, the truck has been in oklahoma it's whole life, so no major exposure to salty roads. Overall, it's been a solid reliable truck for me so far, and it drives down the highway good (it's got tall gears, possibly 308), but with the granny gear, it still creeps around too. I tried to take plenty of pictures so i wouldn't have to write a novel. These trucks are getting hard to find, and even with the shape it's in, would make someone a solid 4x4 p/u. I paid 600.00 for the tires, and they have less than 1000 miles on them. It has duel fuel tanks, but the fuel pump is out on the driver's side tank, and i think the tank switching valve doesn't work. but the passenger fuel tank and pump work fine. this vehicle is used, and is being sold as-is.
