I purchased this car from a friend of mine in North Carolina. He had good luck with this car until his son ran it into a ditch. I had planned to fix this one up myself but I have just been told I can't lift anything with my right arm for six months. Mechanically the car runs and shifts properly. During the accident the fan was pressed into the radiator. It no longer functions properly so you would not want to drive a car very far before fixing this. I drove the car up and down the street, it tracks, brakes and shifts properly. It has nice looking Fusion HRi tires. The car has leather interior and the front seats have been beautifully refinished, the backseats are noticeably worn. The dash is cracked. I'm told that the sunroof works, but I have yet to test it. The radio has been replaced with a modern aftermarket unit with remote. The electric antenna is broken, the battery is brand new. The hood is dented but I been told is repairable. The driver side door takes a little extra effort to close properly, I suspect the hinges may have been tweaked. You can see the remainder of the front-end damage from the pictures. I have a North Carolina title that has been signed open, and a bill of sale. Should you wish to put this car on the road again any taxes or expenses required to get a Florida or wherever title will be your financial responsibility. I found a typo that linked to a previous title, this one shows that the car was issued a salvage title in 1992, however for some reason the current North Carolina title does not say salvage. These cars are well loved by the BMW crowd. I have yet to meet anyone who did not think they were spectacular cars. I have added the parts necessary to make the repairs to the auction. Along with the original hood (repairable) I am including a straight one that needs no repairs, header panel with hood hinges and headlight pieces, needed front fender.
