Up for sale is a 2005 Volkswagen Golf with the TDI diesel engine. It has 135,xxx miles on the car. Car was driven back and forth from Grand Forks to Moorhead on a regular basis, I have since moved and no longer need the car. Details: 135,xxx miles, 5-speed automatic transmission, 4-door hatchback, alloy wheels, engine coolant heater for winter (super nice heavy duty one), synthetic oil always used, new timing belt/lift pump around 90,000 miles (previous owner installed). Also has CD player, heated seats, and sunroof. Two sets of tires: winter generals (special compound, 10,000 miles on them), a set of all seasons with 10,000 miles on them will last another 50,000 miles (long life tread). Fresh oil change, tire rotation/balancing, and brand new fuel filter at 135,000 miles. Will also toss in the oil filters I have remaining (Two extra oil filters). Also I had the transmission fluid drained and replaced (even lifetime needs to be changed at 120,000 miles), this cost $600 to have volkswagen do. Car does have a few of the standard scratches a car like this may have, it has no rust on the body, and was always parked in a garage. Mileage you can expect is as follows. 50+ mpg if you drive 55-60 mph (one tank I drove only 60 mph to bismarck and back got 52 mpg and 700+ miles between refueling). 43 mpg driving 75 mph. 40 mpg driving 80 mph. These were the speeds I drove consistently, and kept track of mileage for. Mechanically sound car, and well taken care of. I had the car inspected at the local Volkswagen dealer, the car is in excellent condition on all accounts. E-mail me for contact information, and for additional photos of the car. No trades.
