Now is the time to purchase this affordable piece of nostalgia with NO RESERVE to restore for all of the upcoming car shows. Up for bid is a 4 speed automatic with overdrive 1956 ford thunderbird that needs little for restoration. My husband and I started to restore this car, but due to divorce issues this car is being sold. My loss could be your gain. We had the 56 started by connecting a container of gas with a tube to the motor. This car has original V8 312 motor with matching numbers. Most of the parts are original: including the keys, glovebox and Town and Country radio. It has recently been painted (but has a few dings from installing the doors). The car has many new parts such as: brakes, exhaust, carpet, radiator, complete rubber kit and metal skirts. Many of the parts are just lying on the car and need to be secured to the car, such as: windshield, hood, hubcaps, fender skirts, etc. The car has a new - after market porthole convertible top. I have most of the chrome and some of the decals. They have been polished. What I know the car needs: a continental kit (It presently has a 55 back bumper installed), some of the decals and chrome, such as the chrome around the windshield. New tires, side mirror, although the seat is in good shape, he dash does need to be redone. A $500 dollar non-refundable deposit due with in 24 hours and balance must be paid within seven days.
