Vehicle Detail
1963 Lincoln Continental, 2-Owners from new, 2nd owner has owned this car since 1985, car runs and drives very well, has no rot and is structurally sound. Car is original and complete. The odometer currently reads 93995 (may change slightly due to my driving it) It is the original mileage. The car is currently registered with antique plates in MA. I have an appraisal in hand from 12/18/2010 showing a $12000.00 Market value, this car can be owned for significantly less than that. Almost everything works and I believe with a little time and patience everything will work again. The cooling system was replaced within the last 1000 miles, the brakes were just resurfaced and the car stops straight and true, this car does not have A/C, and the heat is not currently working ( I think the thermostat is stuck wide open because it never comes up to temperature either), the blower works on all speeds and settings, it does have power windows and locks although the passenger side windows are not currently working, I believe if you remove the switches and clean the brushes they will work again. The drivers side work great and go up and down smoothly and quickly. The original wiper switch failed and another has been installed under the steering wheel, the wipers work well on this switch. The power antenna also works and the original AM radio works very well and sounds very good. The car has always been stored indoors. All of the chrome bits are intact but most are pitting and could stand to be refinished. The car was painted a few years ago and the quality is NOT good, it looks great from 10 feet but there are many imperfections in the paint, there is also a lot of overspray in areas. I think with a good wet sand and buff the cars appearance will be greatly improved but if you are looking for a show car you will have to strip it and paint it. The interior of the car is in good shape, the leather is showing some age but at 48 years old it looks pretty good, there is one seam separation on the passenger front seat. The power drivers seat is not currently working. The headliner is intact and in place but there are two half dollar sized holes in it. The dash is in great shape with no cracks or warping, the rear window ledge is also in great shape. The carpets are original as well and are very presentable, the back seat is in great shape. The tires are recent and have many many miles of tread remaining. The starter is new and this car starts right up, it runs and drives very well and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere today. I can be reached at 978-479-9235 with any further questions. I am listing this car with a very reasonable reserve, bid to win and please DO NOT BID if you have negative feedback, or do not have funds immediately available for purchase. There will be no negotiations after the bidding has ended so if you would like to see the car, drive it, or have it inspected you MUST do so BEFORE the end of the auction. If you win the bidding you own the car, no exceptions. I will also consider offers presented before the reserve has been met. - Call Jason at 978-479-9235
