Vehicle Detail
1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Tudor Club Sedan What a super cool classic Ford and is a cruiser delight! This 1957 Ford just went on a 500 mile trip with no problems at all. She has all the right looks finished off in perfect period colors and is nice everywhere you look. She was originally a West Coast car originally in California. It has never been driven in the winter on the East Coast. This is one very solid Ford that runs and drives well. This is what old school Hot Rodding is about! The body is in very nice condition. She is straight with no rust. The underside is very solid and still retains what appears to be original undercoating. The frame is very solid and clean. The single stage paint is smooth and shows well. It has a few rock chips and touchups as you would expect from a car that has been driven and enjoyed. The two-tone Salmon and White paint really gives this car that 50’s look. The trunk was shaved with “Class of 57” written on the back. The stainless trim is in nice original condition. The bumpers have been rechromed. The door handles are original with some mild pitting. The glass is in nice shape. The interior has been completely redone in custom rolled vinyl. It is beautiful in the white and accents that 50’s custom look perfectly. The seats, door panels, rear shelf, headliner have all been done over in white vinyl. The dash is painted body color. The black carpet is clean and was replaced at the same time. She has matching floor mats. Providing the tunes is a AM/FM Cassette stereo that fits nicely in the stock location. Mounted to the floor is an automatic shifter that looks like a manual shifter. Of course what Hot Rod would be complete without a set of fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror. In the glove box is the original owners manual. This Fairlane 500 runs and drives wonderful. The motor is a later model 302 Ford mostly stock with just dual exhaust and a 4bbl Carburetor. She fires right up and runs strong. Chrome valve covers and air cleaner add a little flash under the hood. Backing this is an automatic transmission. She has power steering and manual brakes. The master cylinder was recently replaced. She rides on Wide White Wall tires mounted to steel wheels and vintage style Cross Bar hubcaps. The suspension rides very nice and the front end feels tight. This Fairlane goes down the road very well and is something you can take to local shows or go on a road trip for the weekend. She is reliable and will give you years of trouble free enjoyment. Overall this 57 Fairlane 500 is a wonderful car. The body is great, the interior is beautiful, the paint is nice, and she is mechanically sound. Drive it anywhere and have a ball!
