Vehicle Detail
Up for sale in a 1976 Ford Bronco. It has a 302 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, and manual disk brakes. It has the original roll bar. I am the second owner. The speedometer shows 122,000 miles, but since the gear is not working properly, (the speedometer needle bounces), I believe it has some more. I have only driven it about 40 miles since I have owned it, which is just two years. The hard top was removed for the very first time last summer by me. I have had a lot of new parts installed, along with professional mechanical work performed. It comes with the original owner's manual. The original owner claims that the engine was rebuilt at about 85,000 miles. I found the receipt for the parts for the rebuild. The original owner installed a shift kit in the transmission. The interior is all original except for a new steering wheel, and a new dash (not a dash cap, but a new dash), and new windshield securing knobs. There is a set of aftermarket guages installed in lieu of the original gauges, hence the fuel gauge does not work. The turn signals do work. An intermediate wiper control was also installed. All of the exterior lights work. It still has the original paint and taped pin striping on the exterior, which is correct for the Bronco. The transmission shifts well. There was an attempt to replace the transfer case shifter. But when it was realized that part of the floor needed to be cut out to accommodate the new shifter, the original was put back in. But now there is a, "clunk" noise right after the original shifter was put back in. I'm not exactly sure what needs to be done. I will leave that to the new owner. The passenger side kick panel needs to be replaced. The floor underneath the rear mounts of the roll bar needs to be addressed. I am not sure if the surface needs just a good cleaning, or a small portion of the floor around the rear mount of the roll bar needs to be replaced. The body is laser straight, for the exception of a dent on the tailgate (a picture of the dent is shown below). The driver's side roof window needs to be replaced. It was cracked when the top was placed back on the vehicle for the new owner (the glass is cheap). The top also needs two small areas fixed because of rust. Other than that, the top is in excellent shape. The lock levers for the wing mirrors need replacement. Keep in mind the vehicle is 35 years old. I bought the Bronco solely as something to tinker with, not to use as a daily driver, nor a weekend vehicle. As you can see, I have done my best to describe the vehicle the best I can. The photos of the Bronco are with the top being set down solely for the purpose transporting the vehicle; so when the Bronco is delivered, the top needs to be reinstalled or just left off if the new owner chooses to do so. Below is a list of new parts that were installed, and the work that has been done to the Bronco. The Bronco does have the rear seat, which is in good shape. I also have all receipts for parts replaced and work performed. Mechanical: The entire fuel system, from the carb to the gas tank, including all of the gas lines.
