Vehicle Detail
1998 Jeep Wrangler 153,000 Miles - 4 Cylinder - 5 Speed stick shift Bought it about 5 months ago, need to sell to save for the wedding :) When I bought it, had it completely went through by my mechanic, and had the following replaced: -Radiator -U-Joints -Pinion Seals -New plugs, wires, and rotor -New gaskets and fluid on differential and transfer case -Back brake adjusters replaced This was $1500 worth of repairs....it ran great before that, and runs great still. Has a pioneer stereo and sound bar, pretty nice newer softtop, only 1 bad spot on back window. New neoprene seat covers in it. It is probably 95%+ rust free, and nothing major at all...the pics (see link below) show all the spots that are bad, mainly the hinges, and only 1 very small spot on the body. Tires are pretty good on it, mechanic said rear brakes probably will need to be replaced in a year or so...they do have a little squeak sometimes when stopping. Only other bad things I know of is it gets the "Jeep Shake" when you are going fast (60MPH+) and hit a BAD bump...I only had it happen once, and I researched it, and it needs something tweaked in the front end, or maybe a new stabilizer bar (I don't know too much about it), but could be alignment, etc. I am sure anyone that knows about Wranglers know what I am talking about. The turn signal is a bit quirking on turning left, I can show you, but works fine...and the last thing is it makes kind of a rub noise in the steering column when you crank the wheel sometimes...I called my mechanic on it, bc it happened when it was cold, and he said it is probably just the power steering warming up, but I am not 100%. It is a nice Jeep, probably one of the better 1998s you can find, very clean, but it is 13+ years old so it shows some wear. It is my daily driver, and I would be completely confident to take it on a road trip about anywhere....very dependable. Feel free to make an offer...I am not really interested in trades, other than MAYBE a cheap, nice running boat (less than $1,500) $250 deposit required within 48 hours. Balance of payment due in person (no Paypal for full payment without prior approval, please). I tried to describe the vehicle to the best of my ability, but am not a mechanic, or that great with cars. So please contact me to check it out in person if you are interested. Car is sold as-is, no warranty implied. Thanks for looking!
