Hello- I am selling this 2001 Volkswagen Jetta/Golf GTI VR6 for my brother. I will describe the car to the best of my ability, but please look at the pictures and ask if you have further questions. I also highly recommend that you view the car in person before bidding. Black on black, leather seats, all the amenities! Manual transmission! Powerful VR6 engine! One of Volkswagen's best sports cars! The paint and body is in good condition except for the dent above the front passenger side wheel. I have driven the car and the engine feels strong, and does not smoke. No leaks. The car does not have a current inspection. It did not pass inspection due to the check engine light being on. The check engine light is usually indicative of some emissions system problem. Interior is in OK shape. Both seats in the front have tears. The stereo appears to have been removed. I had to jump the car to test drive it, so I do not know if the battery is shot, although I suspect it is. When driving it I noticed a grinding feel to the brakes when slowing down. I do not know if this is from the vehicle sitting for a couple months or if the brakes will need to be replaced. Again, I am selling this for my brother, so I know very little about the car.
