This auction is for a very clean, low-mileage Volvo 240 turbo sedan with automatic transmission. Clear Florida title in my name. Always a Florida-south Georgia car, so no rust issues. The car is riding on the factory Volvo Virgo alloy wheels and a matched set of Dunlop H-rated 195 65 15 tires with good tread. Full size spare mounted on a fifth Virgo. In the three years that I've owned the car, the following work has been done: Replaced the engine wiring harness with an updated Volvo harness from Dave Barton. The a/c has been converted to R134a refrigerant. All the system lines were blown out with compressed air, and new O-rings, new receiver dryer, new expansion valve and a rebuilt compressor were installed. The brake hydraulic system was flushed and new braided stainless steel flex hoses were installed. New KYB shocks and struts and polyurethane sway bar bushings were installed. New fuel accumulator. New turbo hoses. Rebuilt alternator. New water pump and a new timing belt. A new JVC AM/FM/CD player with front panel input and four new Kenwood speakers were installed. The transmission selector shaft seals (the ones that always leak) have been replaced. There are no visible fluid leaks on the engine or transmission. The belly pan is intact and in good shape. A brand new windshield (the old one was cracked) was installed just last week. The carpeting is protected by plastic floor trays from IPD. The dashboard is cracked and nasty-looking, but is covered with an IPD fabric dash cover. The only mechanical issue with the car that I am aware of is that the power antenna for the radio does not retract. The vehicle is being sold as is, with no warranty of any kind expressed or implied. A $500 deposit via Pay Pal is required within 48 hours of the close of the auction. The deposit is non-refundable unless the vehicle can be shown to have been misrepresented. No refunds for "buyer's remorse." The balance of the winning bid is to be paid by certified bank check or in cash when the vehicle is picked up. If you want to pay by personal check, your check must clear my bank before the vehicle is picked up. If the vehicle is to be shipped, the full amount must be paid/all checks cleared before the vehicle is released to the shipper. I am willing to pick up the winning bidder at either Tampa International Airport, St. Pete/Clearwater Airport, Tampa Amtrak station or Clearwater Greyhound bus station.
