Camper Van. Please NOTE: comes with NEW pop top canvas (it is the buyer's mission to get it installed) and NEW pop top rubber perimeter seal (see parts picture). This is a fairly rust free example. Only spots were small side areas above the rockers (not in the rocker areas themselves) and the front near bumper. These have been bondo'd. Only other need of attention areas are battery and a tiny bit at driver feet. No holes were at the windshield bottom, just pitted (these were treated w/metal rust inhibitor and painted by previous owner. Paint is decent driver quality (not peeling). NEW PARTS JUST INSTALLED: brake master cylinder, power booster/servo, stop light pressure switch, brake fluid of course, NEW-two FRONT disc brake calipers and pads (THESE NEED TO BE INSTALLED-BUYER'S MISSION). Most of the brake lines and hoses were done four years ago and all look good. Hubcaps. Excellent original starting, running, shifting mechanicals. May be the original mileage, but not confirmed. No smoke or weird noises. I lubricated everything underneath. Most lights(4 ways/brake/park/interior confirmed), horn, wipers work. The original Interior cabinates are in better than good condition throughout. Front seats are age shredded a bit but supportive in the comfort level they were made for. All glass is good to perfect except for windshield has some scratches and a bit of sun haze at bottom. Glass rubber seals are aged but still clinging happily for time to come. If replacement is not preferred, I can suggest a sealer for preservation. Original carburetor breather will be installed soon (see in parts picture). Four new tires are included; not on vehicle yet (see picture). If buyer prefers to get their own tires, I will deduct $100 off the final buy price. Accessories:: TWO snap in rear hatch screens; TWO mounting bars and TWO cot canvas for sleeper over front seats; "stretcher" sleeper for sleeper mount in pop up area. So, this is a totally driving, dependable classic (FOR SAFETY MUST HAVE THE NEW-FURNISHED WITH THIS SALE-FRONT BRAKE PARTS INSTALLED AND TIRES). The brakes are working good but pad scraping is slightly beginning. With installed brake/tires, can drive anywhere. Ask, and you shall receive answers (other than the reserve price). On Apr-30-11 at 14:42:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Good spare tire and rim is stored in the back, but can be mounted on nose bracket (in case bad tire blow out and don't want shredded rubber inside van). Also, correct jack and lug wrench is present. Note the extra vinyl bed cushion in open back hatch picture. I will be putting a sheet metal base or battery base where the battery sits (see rust area picture; the only bad area). If I find a correct metal replacement I will order it. All vent and crank out side windows work fine. Door windows open smoothly and quietly. I ordered a driver's door window handle but was sent the wrong one (and another wrong part -by Jbugs). A correct new handle will be included(old one missing knob). Sliding door works perfectly/correctly. The original VW maintenance recording book shows service up to 72,597 miles in 11-22-1976; original owner in Live Oak Florida (I bought it from a different guy in Florida). Engine number (if anyone wants it) is AE428635. Radio is old but works with four speakers/front-back. On May-01-11 at 04:49:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Has ice fridge/cooler with front access hinged door in the cabinate below the sink (not electric fridge). On May-01-11 at 06:07:00 PDT, seller added the following information: The luggage rack rods and surround are all in place and in good shape (I have a picture from the top available; also inside of pop top). On May-01-11 at 14:56:00 PDT, seller added the following information: The "closet" on back left corner has the original clothes hanging hooks and rod. I have a beach towel on that window as a curtain for clothing privacy/camoflage. Towel has a design of a Florida license plate saying "To the Beach" and flip-flops at the bottom. The other front windshield COT and rods are stored in there also. All drawer and door handles work as original(none broken). This is a clean smelling, non-musty condition. On May-01-11 at 15:43:34 PDT, seller added the following information: The tow ball and steel bar it is welded to, is bolted onto bumper framing. It can be removed easily or used for small lawn tractor/mulch trailer hauling (that is all it was ever used for by third owner back).
