Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1969 Charger. It is a “Work in Progress” car that I have owned since 1991. My brother owned it from the late 70’s until he sold it to me, so it has been in the family for a long time. It has seen 4 or 5 Woodward Dream Cruise events since I got it back into cruising shape in 1999, but it has been sitting in my lonely garage for the past 2 ½ years. The car is not in show winning condition, but it would take very little effort to get it there. I call it my cloudy day, 50 footer. As much as I would love to keep the car, I don’t have much spare time to dedicate and would rather see it with someone that has the time to enjoy it and take it to the next level. The car was originally a 318 car with an A904 automatic transmission & column shift. I replaced the motor with a 383 bored .030 over along with a mild cam and brand new (crate) 727 Torqueflite transmission. The odometer reads 63,000 miles, but I have put only 2000 miles on the 383 since installation. A Holly 650, Edelbrock Intake, Mopar Performance Ignition (orange box), street stack, headers and glass packs were also added. The column shift was replaced with a B&M floor shifter and the interior was replaced with the interior from a 1969 Charger SE that I salvaged. VIN and fender tags are in place. VIN: XP29F9B322896 I have the 318 and transmission. The 318 ran great when I removed it in 1998 and was a fresh rebuild with about 800 miles on it. I also have a ton of spare 69 Charger parts (including a center console, the original radio, drip rail trim, wheel moldings, interior panels, tail lights, interior trim pieces, rear package tray, rear window trim, wiper assemblies, etc). I could probably make a little money selling the spare parts, but all of it leaves with the car. Once it is sold, all I want to keep are some pictures and all of the good memories I have of cruising her around. Note - I have not started the car in over two years, so it will probably need to be primed and hand turned a few times before attempting to start it. The car ran and drove excellent just prior to storage. I noticed a leak in the brake master cylinder, so it may require replacing or rebuilding. The shifter cable will also require adjustment since Park will sometimes not fully engage. The vehicle is being sold “as is”. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. If you are not sure about something, please ask. Please do not bid on this auction unless you are serious about owning this vehicle and have the money. PLEASE ONLY BID WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY. IF THE RESERVE IS NOT MET, I MAY CONTACT THE HIGH BIDDER TO OFFER THE SECOND CHANCE OPTION. A $500.00 security deposit paid via PayPal is required of the winning bidder within 48 hours of auction close. A $500.00 security deposit via PayPal is required immediately for the "Buy It Now" option. Payment in full is required within 7 days of auction close. I reserve the right to end the auction early, as the car is for sale locally as well. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle along with the spare engine and parts that go along with it. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly cooperate. I have the title in hand and ready to sign over. The “Buy it Now” price is $20,500.00 but my reserve price is lower. The car is located in the 48071 zip code of SE Lower Michigan. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I prefer that questions be asked via Ebay, but if you need to contact me via telephone, I am available weekdays 5am-10pm ET and weekends 7am-10pm ET at 248-825-5222. Just a quick note to let you know I added a few more pictures per a bidder's request (Thanks go to my wife for taking the pics). Also I located the original hubcaps for the car and the rear exhaust extensions (tailpipes) with the chrome tips welded on (not original). I also found the shifter mechanism for the center console I mentioned earlier. Time is winding down and we are nearing the end of the auction. Thank you to all of the kind folks that have called me and/or emailed me with questions and comments. Good luck and happy bidding to all of you
