Rare 1983 Buick Riviera Convertible up for auction. NO RESERVE, bid early and often, top bidder gets her! 42k, new GM 350 V8 crate motor and rebuilt transmission in 2005, only 2000 miles on drivetrain. Engine has a 4 barrel carburetor, really takes off when you hit the gas! Hard to find car, only 3898 Riviera convertibles were built (only available from 1982-1985) as you can see at this link: http://www.rivieraconvertible.com/ Runs very strong, drives and handles like a sportscar! Front end done in 2007, axles, ball joints, tie rods and shock absorbers. Handling is tight and responsive, no play in steering wheel or wandering on the highway. I also did new master cylinder last fall, front brake pads as well as a tuneup at the same time. Riviera has a nice firm brake pedal. New whitewall tires all around, original Riviera wire wheel hubcaps in nice condition. Top goes up and down easily with the push of a button, no help required, top has a few repaired rips but keeps the rain out. Power windows work, back windows need help going up. Original am/fm cassette radio works, one or two speakers could be bad. Dashboard has one sun crack down the center. Carpet could be replaced, $120 on Ebay for molded, original color carpet. Passenger side view mirror cracked, power remote mirror controller works. Heat & defroster work properly, A/C compressor turns on but does not blow cold. Boot cover in great shape. Front bumper chrome started to peel so I purchased new front and rear bumpers (had to buy as a set) with rubber inserts. Bumpers are included with Riv, paid $500 for set. Cruises nicely on the highway, holds the road perfectly. Engine starts easily, tracks straight as an arrow and brakes evenly, no pulling or fading. She idles well, shifts smoothly, stops easily and the suspension is sporty.  A pleasure on the highway and driving around town. I always get smiles and "thumbs up" when I take her out.
