Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Alfa Romeo Quadrafoglio 1989 ...for the right owner...the right Price!! Check it out on YOUTUBE!**** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJMnMH7ksCE**** I am the second owner. This car has been loved and babied for years, and you will love it too... Since having children just haven't driven it, since 2003 (just periodical start up). As far as I researched Melissa Ethridge was the original owner drove it across country and parked it with about 9,000 miles at which time I bought it. It has only been serviced by an Alfa’s only mechanic all the years I’ve had it and I tell you I’ve babied this car!! The only reason it goes for this price is because it could use a service and cosmetic work…and I don’t have the hard top. The Quadrafoglio was the top model for Alfa Romeo when it was introduced in 1985, an upgrade from the Graduate. “As the top-of-the-line Spider at the time, it featured specially designed leather seats, alloy wheels, air conditioning, redesigned front spoiler, side skirts, canvas top and detachable hard top. In 1986, the base-level Spider, the Graduate cost just under $14,000. The Quadrifoglio set the buyer back $20,500, which was a considerable price difference at the time.” The Spider at that time was the last work overseen by Porche designers Pininfarina ..it was at the time a well priced sports car with superior performance and a “delicate and pure” shape that has been a major success for Alfa’s…especially seen in the high prices the earlier models enjoy. “Handling was brilliant. The race-proven suspension setup used coil springs and telescoping shock absorbers at all corners, with unequal length A-arms at the front and a carefully located rear axle. The Spider had neither rack and pinion steering nor independent rear suspension, but it proved that excellent handling could be had without them. The four wheel disc brakes gave the Spider sensationally short stopping distances. The car's interior was comfortable, its top easy to operate, its build quality decent, and its reliability proven (at least when treated to appropriate maintenance work by a knowledgeable mechanic). And things only got better when someone opened the hood.” Read more about the Alfa Romeo here: http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z9661/Alfa-Romeo-Spider-Quadrifoglio.aspx Low MileageOriginal owners manual in the leather case Convertible cover..Black leather bra topNew Pirelli tires at the time of parking(2003) Garaged then covered for the last yearEngine cleanConvertible top good condition, replacedOwned by two people first one hardly drove itNo cracks on the dashboard2.0 Liter (1962cc) Twin Overhead Cam Engine Fuel Injected Engine 5-Speed, Fully Synchronized TransmissionElectronic IgnitionIndependent Front SuspensionFront Anti Sway BarPower Assisted 4-Wheel Disc BrakesSteel Belted Radial TiresAir ConditioningPower WindowsGray Bucket Seats with Red Stitching / CarpetAdjustable Head RestsWater Temperature, Oil Pressure & Voltmeter GaugesPadded 3 Spoke Sport Steering Wheel2 Speed Electronic Washer/WipersDual Side View MirrorsLocking Vent WindowsDay/Night Rear View MirrorFactory Quadrifoglio (Upgraded) Alloy Wheels Needs: Driver's seat has stitches coming out at the seamsLeather shift boot $29.50 (International auto-parts)One defroster vent broken $41.50 (International auto-parts) Need to bring DMV Registration up-to-date approx $444.00New Stereo sound system ..has aftermarket cassette player/radio Has a dent in the Front (someone backed into it while parked) about 1-2" diameter Though it may need a little cosmetic love... this car is in great shape! The Alfa Spider Quadrifoglio is considered by many to be the "Best of the Best", in Alfa Romeo convertibles of the 1980's. They are comfortable, fun to drive, and offer very attractive styling, at an affordable price. Unlike many of the earlier British roadsters, the Alfa's offered increased refinement, performance, and reliability, as well. They also came with improved "creature comforts" including air conditioning, power windows, nice sound systems, power steering and beautiful interiors. "Opening up" the car to the sky above is simply a matter of undoing (from the driver's seat) the two latches from the windshield area, and pushing it back to the rear storage area. Instant convertible! Considering their size, the Alfa Spider even offered ample trunk space for those long weekends on the coast, or to your favorite holiday destination. Early Alfa Spider's were equipped with 1600 twin cam engines which were later increased in size to two-liter, fuel injected versions. The larger, current engines, proved to be very reliable, and offered excellent drivability, torque, and good overall performance for a small convertible. Great quote "Never pretentious, never ostentatious, and, somehow, always in style. If people could only age as well as the Spider, maybe growing old wouldn't be so bad. Then again, from behind the wheel of a Spider it doesn't even matter that we age. This car is timeless. Endless. Eternal. There's an air of immortality and invincibility about the Alfa. No matter how old it is, no matter how old we are—just double-clutch downshift a couple gears to make that twin cam scream, and the story starts all over again. *" On Apr-30-11 at 19:51:27 PDT, seller added the following information:
