Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is an all original, unrestored, unmolested 1973 Triumph X75 Hurricane, The X75 was designed by the legendary Craig Vetter in an attempt by Triumph to capitalize on the movie Easy Rider. From the design the then factory BSA/Triumph built 1157 of this model specifically for the US market, it was never offered in the home country of England. While they utilized the BSA Rocket III engine it was branded “Triumph” as that was a more successful marquee for the US market. After 38 years I’m not sure just how many are still around let alone in this quality condition. I purchased the bike in 2000 and this Hurricane is 99% original the only thing not original is the Boyer electronic ignition I had put on a few years back to make sure it was easy to start for me (I’m getting older to kick them over J ) however, I never actually put it on the road I put it back on display in my heated basement showroom. Now it’s time to let someone else enjoy this. While I am not sure of the exact mileage, the quality of the bike leads me to believe it is low. I believe I am the 3rd or 4th owner. The only reason for selling this bike is a downsizing of my collection. This classic will make a great addition to anyone's collection. Take a look at the pictures, I will try to answer any and all questions. I will provide a bill of sale and US Title document, please be respectful and bid only if you have the funds to follow through on the purchase, I've set the reserve appropriately; please do not ask what it is. I know the winning bidder will be extremely happy with this bike whether riding or admiring or this beauty. Please note: My apologies to all the serious Ebay community members however, it has to be said (to the few) …serious bidders only please! I am not a Triumph expert, just a huge fan and owner so after reading the entire description and checking out the pictures, if something I have written is unclear, or if you have questions, or any discrepancies are detected, PLEASE contact me “prior” to bidding. I want you to be happy with your new purchase. Please e-mail me and I will be happy to answer your questions. The bike is sold in, As Is Condition, Where Is and With No Warranty Expressed, Implied or otherwise by the seller. The winning bidder needs to contact me within 48 hours of the close. A non refundable deposit of $500 within 7 days of the close by either certified check or bank transfer with the remainder to be paid again by either certified check or bank transfer within 10 days from end of auction. In the event contact is not made at end of auction, and/or full payment is not received within 10 days seller reserves the right to either contact next highest bidder or re-list the item. While I can and will certainly assist helping your shipper pick up and load the bike, *Shipping, Handling and Shipping Costs are the responsibility of the buyer*. Pacific Overseas Forwarding www.pacificoverseas.ca is a local company who can look after all aspects of getting the bike to you. If necessary I can deliver the bike to them on your behalf for a flat $50 fee. "Please Note" this does not include handling the paperwork etc it is merely a delivery fee. If required the bike can be stored for an reasonably additional amount time from close of auction to facilitate arranging transportation. Seller reserves the right to notify bidders and cancel this auction. Seller shall not be held liable for any such cancellation and/or closure. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids from those with excessive negative feedback. PLEASE do not bid if you are not serious about this bike and able to meet the terms of payment. Placing a bid on this auction constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Thank you all for looking at my auction and happy bidding. On Apr-27-11 at 16:15:09 PDT, seller added the following information:I am getting a lot of questions about this bike and I welcome all of them, however, bidders and potential bidders need to understand that this motorcycle was made in 1973. It is not new and it is not perfect, it is an original unrestored 38 year old motorcycle with the usual wear and blemishes of something of this vintage. Thanks, and Happy biddingOn Apr-28-11 at 09:22:09 PDT, seller added the following information:Someone mentioned the date on the pictures, I took a number of pictures yesterday so if you would like these updated ones please provide an email address. Thanks
