1956 Duntov Corvette Convertible. This extremely rare car is 1 of 110 produced with the HIGH RISE DUNTOV CAM and 1 of 240 produced in CASCADE GREEN. History: This car was originally owned by a Chevrolet Engineering Executive out of Flint Michigan. The car underwent a meticulous full restoration in 1981 by two world renowned Corvette experts. At the time of restoration the car had just over 18,000 miles. Since it’s restoration in 1981, this Corvette has been used as a showpiece and stored in a climate controlled environment. The car has accumulated less than 1000 total miles since the restoration. All casting numbers are correct for the build date of August 9th, 1956. Engine block castings: D236 / 3720991 Engine block stamping: 062340F56GU Intake: 3731394 Carbs: 26275/27195 Water Pump: 3704911 Exhaust Manifolds: LH 3731557 RH 3731558 Heads: 3731762 Current Condition: This Corvette looks and drives like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The paint and body are FLAWLESS and the chrome is in PERFECT condition. The interior is spotless! From a mechanical perspective, the car is perfect. This car will make someone an incredible show car and a driver. It has won best of show at one of Michigan’s most prestigious car shows.
