Up for your consideration is a 1964 Corvair Monza Coupe. NO RESEREVE AUCTION ! BID TO WIN ! STARTING BID IS 99 CENTS I bought this car with plans of fixing it , However I need to thin out my project vehicles, So this one's gotta go. . The Good... This is a very straight little corvair , There are only a few tiny little dings on this car , And most all of them you have to really look to find them. Body retains most of it's original paint, I think the RF fender and hood have been changed or repainted at some time because they both have a flat black look to them. Glass is all good , No cracks in Windshield. Car is 98% complete . It is missing the correct hubcaps and I belive it needs a correct air cleaner housing. I Have an extra long block to go with this car. New master cylinder in box, also new brake shoes included. Doors , hood, and trunk all shut and open nicely. Windows operate nicely. Bumpers are not perfect , But are better than a lot of them I see out there. Good clear Texas title in my name. Can help with delivery , Up to 200 miles from RUSK TX for $ 1 Per loaded mile. Otherwise , You must pick it up. Overall this is a good fixer -upper or a good parts car. The Bad... Engine is stuck , Frozen , or whatever you wanna call it, I have tried several methods of freeing the engine to no avail , So a engine rebuild -replacement is needed. Needs brakes all the way around.. I put a battery on the car and nothing worked, No lights ,No horn , No wipers , Absolutely nothing electrical seemed to work. It might be a bad connection going into the car , I don't know , I didn't pursue the problem Needs tires. Interior is very "Crunchy" seats , door panels, headliner all seem dried out and brittle. Car has rust holes in floorboards, The rust should be a fairly easy repair since all the holes are located in just the flat areas of the fllorboards. I put a shiny piece of tin underneath the car on the ground below , when the photos were taken to help show the holes. There doesn't seem to be any rust in the toeboards or rocker panels. Needs overall a mechanical restoration , and interior work. And it needs anything else that a car that has been sitting for almost thirty years would need. This car is a fixer -upper please understand. No trades. No Scams , No Kidding Please DO NOT bid if you do not intend to pay , Doing that will waste my time and my money. On Apr-26-11 at 08:11:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to point out that the close - up view of the engine stamping numbers is taken from the spare engine, Not the engine of the car. I don't know anything about the spare engine other than it will turn over, and according to what I have read, It should be the same type displacement / horsepower engine for the car. I would not put it in the car without a rebuild first.
