Nice Solid Project car with the titled possibilities. Originally a Georgia car brought to Ohio in 1983, I purchaced it in 84 had it about 10 years, sold it and bought it back about 8yrs. ago. The car was built at the Lorain Ohio plant than shipped to a dealership in Georgia. Stayed in Georgia until 1983. It has never been driven in the winters here therefore was never exposed to salt, That's why it stayed as solid as it looks! The passenger quarter and door had a bad mud job do to dents not rot, that shows it's age now. The repair was done before I bought the car the 1st time. As you can see in the pics they also screwed the rear moldings back on! I was never concerned about it I had planned to pull all the lower trim off to make to make it a B/F/Xer and sell the good pieces. Well time and to many projects changed that plan. It is an original 4 speed car, They did hack the hole open to put a Mr. Gasket V-Gate shifter in it. There is a cover they made for it I would have a better one made if I were to keep it. the carpet covered most of it and during that time it didn't look bad. The T-10 tranny needs replaced but may still have some good internal parts. The engine is a 70 - 302 truck block don't know what cam but it did sound and run pretty healthy at one time. It sat for awhile now but it does run but I'm sure it needs to be freshened up, has an Edlebrock alumminum manifold, 4 barrel carb and headers. The bucket seats are from a 67 Mustang that are in decent shape. The passenger side front floor panel could use a small repair or replace due to a heater core leak and being covered by carpet for years as it sat, it's not major but if I were to keep it I would fix it. The front end does have new springs and shocks even though it has sat for awhile. It has front disk brakes from a Granada. The trunk is rock solid no soft spots, no rot! The engine compartment is solid so are the shock towers, the passenger side front of the core support has some pinholes I believe do to battery acid. A month after I bought the car in 84 the wiring harness under the dash cought fire due to piece of foil wrapped around a fuse that he never told me about. The harness was spliced together by a by a friend and everything worked. I do have another complete harness front to back and for under the dash that came out of another 65 Comet, goes with it. As you can see there are a ton of parts collected over the years mainly because it is a one year make and parts were tuff to come by. Not shown in the pics. Are another set of fenders another hood another decklid, So 2 of each total Extra aside from what's on the car plus an extra front windsheild not in the pics. Also another drum to drum 8" rearend complete. In the pics 3 bumpers one still on the car, 3 sets of headlight doors some have minor pitting. 4 tailights they would need rechroming lenses are good. 2 grills in nice shape a complete passenger door with no mud in it. A new steering wheel, 3 instrament panels, 2 from Caliente, 1 from 202 model it's different but decent trade bait. A set of alumminum mags and more the one backside of the one mag has a chunk out of it. Other miscellanius parts pictured. There are no warranties on this vehicle selling as is!!!
