A winning bid is a LEGAL commitment to purchase this item and complete deal per the terms listed in ad......a winning bid does not mean that you get to come see the item, check it out, nit pick and negotiate a deal or decide if you really want the item or not......that is to be done BEFORE YOU BID!...Ask questions, come see item, have money in hand, have shipping quotes, read the entire ad and terms.....ALL BEFORE YOU BID! *************NO RESERVE = High bidder wins at the end of this auction, so bid on it to buy it!!******************* Out of state dealer trade in......1985 Toyota Xtra Cab 4-wheel drive Pickup truck with the EFI 2.4L-22R 4 cylinder that everyone loves, automatic transmission with push button overdrive and the normal/power shift button, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, sliding rear window, rear step bumper, American Racing Aluminum wheels, factory rollbar (RARE find), chrome nerf bars, brushguard, high back split bench seat, tilt wheel, lockout hubs, etc......nicely equipped truck! Tires are excellent Uniroyal Laredo radials with 60-70% tread left on all four. Interior is decent overall. Has a small tear in door side of drivers seat and some wear/stains here and there but still in very good overall condition. No radio. A/C is missing belt, heat works properly and blower fan works. Body is actually solid compared to most 85 Toyotas we have seen. No rust holes or major problems, a few dings here and there but solid and straight overall. Tailgate has very slight damage but works properly. Passengers front bumper corner also has very slight damage (missing plastic bumper corner cover). Pretty solid, straight truck overall. Minor bodywork touched up here and there and repainted several years ago and still looks great, especially at 20 feet, but has some paint chipping and cracking at spots, a small spot of bodywork breaking through on drivers rear quarter seam, some touched up paint spots here and there but again, still very presentable and looks good overall. Not a rot bucket or full of bondo. Looks very good and is better than alot of 26 year old vehicles out there. Frame and underneath are solid and in good original condition.....solid frame, solid mounts and solid floors. Clean and dry underneath/driveline also. ****Look folks, this ain't no new truck, it ain't a Barrett-Jackson show piece but it is a well kept, good looking daily driver.....thats it. Truck starts right up and runs good. No odd engine noises or smoke and idles good. Transmission shifts properly and works great, 4-wheel drive all works properly. Truck drives and handles the roads very nicely....great driver!! Ok, here is the problem: Upon acceleration there is no problems noticed, however, when you let off the gas and just "coast" the rear end whines. Pinion gear appears to be loose/worn and is noisy. This is how you buy it.....needs rear pinion gear/work. This truck was being driven everyday in this condition by previous owner....used daily for work. Due to the problem, it is our recommendation that the truck be towed, trailered or shipped to prevent a break down or further damage but truck does run and drive very well overall as it is. We recommend rear end repair, servicing (oils/fluids changed, filters changed, tune up, etc....) and inspecting/going over truck to make right but she does run, drive and work very well just as it is. Great easy fix for daily driver quality truck or nice one to re-do or build up!! Rare yaer for fuel injection AND solid front axle!! This is the year everyone wants for rock crawlers and off road machines.......this is a driveable one folks!
