Solid axle (non IRS) 1967 TR4A that has had a total mechanical restoration. This car is ready to be driven. Please look at the inserted video. It probably runs better than new. I have tried to keep it looking period correct, but have made mechanical upgrades that make it a better car. It handles great, is fast (for an old car), and is very dependable. That being said, it is a 44 year old car. The paint is a 10 footer. It has some dings and chips, but no rust (except for one quarter sized spot on the boot lid. See photo). Like all British cars it does leak some oil after a hard drive. It needs a new conv. top (material only) and the windshield wipers hooked up (have motor, but do not know cond.). Since it is garage kept and only is driven in nice weather, I have had no need for a top or wipers. According to the CA DMV it is a salvaged vehicle on the title. Since I bought it as a non-running "Barn Find" with no prior registration record, that is the only way it could be registered. It has had no structural damage. I have replaced or restored nearly every part of the car and it drives and handles like it. Below is a partial list of what has been done. ENGINE TRANSMISSION Rebuilt head that was mildly ported and polished clean 4 speed trans from a 1976 TR6 synchros are perfect New 87mm pistons and bearings Redline trans fluid Rebuilt oil pump New pressure plate and clutch New Pertronix Flamethrower distributor (electronic ignition) New master cyl and slave cyl New Flamethrower coil ss hose New electric fan w/Spal variable speed controller still have the orig trans casing Totally rebuilt carbs with new throttle shaft bushings upgraded throwot bearing New alternator upgrade with small belt kit and dampner New 4 row re-cored radiator and all new hoses DIFFERENTIAL New fuel pump Gas tank cleaned out and coated w/por 15 cleaned out. new fluid and gasket modified throttle linkage (cable instead of mechanical) no unusual noises SS heat shield for carbs Spin on oil filter adapter BRAKES New master cyl all new SS hoses Toyota 4 piston caliper upgrade w/new rotors upgrades rear wheel cyl and rebuilt adjusters SUSPENSION All new poly bushings, tie rods, ball joints, fulcrums New shocks in front w/rebuilt rears Front sway bar added New rear leaf springs and front lowering springs new bushings inside the steering column and new rubber disks for shaft tires have 90% left INTERIOR Fat Mat sound proofing everywhere NO RATTLES New window channel felt and window and door seals new voltage stabilizer New oem seat upholstery new carpet new crash pads for dash, dash top and door pads NO CRACKS new walnut dash w/matching shifter knob new tach and speedo cables all gauges cleaned and work Has original rear seat option 3point seat belts added have original sun visors and conv top frame On Apr-22-11 at 09:59:43 PDT, seller added the following information: To add a few things: Drivers eat has a seat heater and adjustable lumbar support. The driving light are not hooked up. They are for "Looks" only. I don't know if they work. They are from a 1968 Ford Mustang GT and were made by Lucas for Ford. If there are any questions, call me.
