Vehicle Detail
Please note that this is an ABSOLUTE AUCTION. The high bidder will win this car. I purchased this car 3 years ago and have enjoyed her only in summers, she's otherwise always garaged. For some reason, I cannot list the VIN in the proper place so it is: 6L67S2Q412740. This car has some interesting features. The candy-apple red paint is dazzling as you can see. The parade boot matches the body. All the small chrome body details were gold-electroplated. I find this a very attractive combination. This car was a Shriner parade car, and in one of the pictures you can see their plaque on the dashboard. The engine received a dress-up with woven metal hoses and chrome valve covers, etc which doesn't really matter but it looks nice. All I have had to do for her was change the flywheel and starter. I also changed all fluids and used Amsoil synthetic in the engine and Amsoil synthetic ATF in the transmission when I handled the flywheel. Interestingly, the underside shows no rust at all, and I am hard-pressed to find rust anywhere except for a little minor bubbling at the rear of the convertible top. The floorboards and underside are amazing. See the pictures for a view of that. Most convertibles have considerable rust so, short of a California or desert car, this car has about as nice a body as you are likely to find on Long Island. This is not a pristine car - she looks awesome from 10 feet but if I were going to drive her daily, I'd re-upholster the front seats which are leather and I would give the engine compartment a good cleaning and replace the insulation under the hood. I'd probably give it a sound system too, it has an aftermarket cassette player which works fine. In my opinion, out here on the east end of Long Island it's better not to turn a beach cruiser into a trailer queen. She loves to drive and doesn't need to be pampered so take her out accordingly! Any questions you have about the car, just ask. Give me your phone number in your message if you like and I will call you back about it promptly - check my feedback, I only have happy customers and have sold many cars on eBay in the 10 years that I have been a seller, most recently one year ago. I am happy to work with you or your shipper but transportation will be at your expense and this auction is a final sale. Car is located on Shelter Island, NY., at the East End of Long Island. If you have a feedback rating of less than 10, I will need to hear from you via phone (send me your # and I will call you back, even internationally) or I will cancel your bid.
