Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my Nissan I've owned and tinkered with for the past 3 1/2 years. It's an original Japan car brought over in 1984. It has a legal, clear Indiana title. Car is pretty much stock other than the wheels, header, and mirrors which are in the original location but are knockoff mirrors, not OEM. The car is VERY mechanically sound. I've had no issues what so ever with this car. The ONLY thing wrong mechanically is the idle control located on the throttle body. This piece needs replaced which causes the car to idle around 1500 rpm, other than that it runs and drives perfect. I drove it to a big car show about 150 miles round trip last summer and got 23.7 mpg. The motor is a 2.0 which differs from the US Spec 2.8L. They offered this in Japan just for lower road taxes.. the smaller the motor, the less you paid. It's still a fuel injected straight 6 which has a very distinct sound. The interior I would give a 9/10. There are no rips in the seats, cracks in the dash, etc. The only thing wrong is some minor stains in the carpet. Some of it may even come out with a good cleaning, the only thing I've ever done is vacuumed and dusted the interior since I've owned it. Oh yea, the rear hatch struts need replaced too. There are replacments out there, I'm just having trouble figureing out which ones I need lol.. Exterior I'd give around a 7.5-8/10. There are a few door ding type dings here and there, but for what it is.... it looks great. From 15 feet away it looks flawless. The wheels and tires 15x7 Konig Rewinds and are near brand new, they have just a few hundred miles on them. When I got the car back in early 08, it had sat for 22 years. I have almost $2,500 in receipts from the work done to get the car back on the road. This included all new gaskets, seals fuel injectors, fuel tank, etc. It also has a new clutch, alternator, and battery that I dont have receipts for. The wheels and tires were put on last summer. The stock wheels are kinda pitted and I'm sure could be sandblasted and refinished but I didnt feel like messing with it. I did however put a cheap set of brand new tires on the stock wheels when we first got it, they have probably 200 miles on them and they will be included with the sale. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. I'm willing to ship at buyers expense. On Apr-24-11 at 19:20:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit: Just FYI, being JDM the car actually has just over 65k KILOMETERS, which means it has just over 40k actual MILES. Also, a full inspection was just performed on the car last week as a request of a potential buyer just for verification that the car is in full working condition. The only thing recommended by the mechanic was replacing the rear brake pads.
