CLICK ON THE PICTURE BELOW FOR MORE PICTURES 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham I am selling my 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. It has a rare optional sunroof, and it has a great deal of luxury features such as automatic headlights, automatic climate control, traction control, self-closing trunk, power everything, power heated leather seats, mirrors for the rear passengers, CD Player, sunroof, . My mechanic told me it also has the towing package, which means it has an extra smaller radiator in addition to the larger one. The extra radiator cools the transmission and keeps the car running cool so it doesn't overheat. The car looks and runs great. It has never been in any car accidents, and I have had a great deal of recent maintenance done to keep it in tip top shape. We have two 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Broughams - one is mine one is my mother's. My mother doesn't want to drive this one because she doesn't like parking it. It is in excellent shape. It doesn't need any maintenance or repairs, and I'm sure the next owner of this car will love it. Maintenance The car has been very well maintained. A few weeks ago I told my mechanic to go through the car and replace anything that needed changing. He found no leaks under the car. He changed a climate control capacitor, two oil cooler hoses, the serpentine belt, 2 upper ball joints, 2 lower ball joints, the steering damper, left front stabilizer link, left front pitman arm. I then had an alignment done by a very good alignment shop that uses the best alignment machine (Hunter). I also just had a seat panel replaced by a great upholstery shop. They found the seat frame was starting to come apart so I had them fix it by welding it. I'm also having the window rollers replaced by my mechanic as soon as the parts come in. GM Updated the window rollers after the old rollers malfunctioned and caused the windows to go off track when you rolled them down. It's not a big deal but I might as well have it fixed. I want the next owner of the car to be able to drive it worry free without having to repair or replace anything. I really believe in preventative maintenance and you can see this by how well it runs. The next bit of maintenance will be an oil change in a thousand miles. How it Runs The car runs like a dream. The car always starts right up without hesitation. The engine is so smooth and quiet that you cannot even tell its running. The engine does not burn or leak any fluids or oil or anything. The car accelerates without any noise or issue. The exhaust is very quiet. The car is very quiet going down the road. The alignment is perfect and so is the suspension, so when you go over bumps you can barely feel it. There are no odd noises or problems with the suspension. The transmission is very smooth, and when it shifts gears you can barely feel it. The traction control works great, and the brakes are incredibly powerful on this car. There is no shaking or vibration when you drive or push the brakes. It's nice and quiet. The keyless entry locks and unlocks the doors, and can also open the trunk. The trunk has a little motor in it that pulls itself closed. The climate control works great. You just set the temperature and it takes care of the fan speed. The CD Player and radio sound great. Overall the car is really nice to drive. You don't feel any bumps, you don't hear any noise. The power seat controls work great, and the leather seats are very soft and plush. It's like sitting on a sofa going down the highway. The car is so comfortable its unbelievable. Oh, and the engine is very powerful. One day I stepped on the gas before the stoplight turned red and the acceleration scared me. Personally I'm not a fast driver, but the car has an LT1 Corvette engine in it so you won't be disappointed with the performance. Interior The interior of the car is in great shape. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The dashboard looks great. All of the buttons work. Climate control, cd player, glovebox, trunk release, all work. The headliner is nice. There are a couple of pixels on the digital dashboard that display the trip computer that are out, but you can still make out the numbers. There is a cupholder that flips out of the armrest in case you need it, and it folds away when you do not. The rear folding armrest has a slide-out cup holder. There are two folding mirrors in the ceiling for the rear passengers, and these mirrors have lights and dimmers in them. The rear view mirror also has little lights in it. The defrost works, the power windows work, the sunroof works, the power seat controls all work. Overall the interior very nice looking and functional. Sitting in the car you will not be disappointed. Body The car looks gorgeous. It has never been repainted or been in any car accidents. It looks really nice. The chrome is shiny, the paint is clean and nice looking. I get a lot of compliments everywhere I go. Another great thing about the body is that the car has a frame, so its very strong. It also has little shock absorbers in the bumpers for parking. There are these little fins on the hood with lights in them. Little blue lights come on to let you know if your highbeams are on, white lights come on to tell you your headlights are on, and blinking lights tell you if your blinker is working. The chrome on the car looks beautiful. They really don't make them like this anymore. The bumpers and side skirts are chrome, and there is also another chrome line that runs along the car. When you see the car in person you cannot help but be impressed by how classy and well made the car looks. Although from far away it looks like a really rigid car with straight lines, when you get closer you can see the curves Cadillac added. I think the pictures I took make the car look kind of ugly, because it was a very sunny day, there was disgusting snow everywhere, and I couldn't the chrome because it was so cold. Anyway the body is in good shape, looks great, and you'll fall in love with it when you see it in person. Imperfections I want to stress the car is 99% perfect, but I want to fully disclose everything so there are no surprises. The imperfections are very few. First, the front tires should be replaced. They ride fine, but the alignment place said they should be replaced. I couldn't find any whitewall tires to replace them, so I'll leave it to the next owner. The only body imperfections are tiny rock chips near the front grill from highway debris, and some surface rust on the chrome which can be cleaned off with some sos pads. Its just been so cold I haven't properly cleaned the interior or exterior. There is a tiny tiny bit of bubbling on the inside of the drivers door jam and under the hood on the...two lumps above the wheels, but you can't see these spots either. The dealership told me this is typical and nothing to worry about. The parts are replaceable anyway, not a permanent part of the frame. I photographed the imperfections so you can see them, but honestly if you look at the car you don't notice anything. The car looks great, works great, and you won't be disappointed with it. ConclusionThe car is really nice. It looks like a classic car from the fifties with its airplane-like design and chrome. Yet it has modern features like climate control, airbags, etc. President HW Bush used the Fleetwood as his limousines during his presidency, and you can definitely see why. It has a lot of neat features, it is very luxurious, very comfortable, reliable, and incredibly safe. I had a great deal of maintenance work done, and I trust my car 100%.
