This is a 2004 Dodge Intrepid Police Edition with the 3.5L V6. So i bought this car here on ebay 2 years ago and it supposedly had a blown engine. I went and replaced the engine with one from "gotengines.com" which cost me $1600. It started on the first try and i stared to prep the doors for an aftermarket stereo before i had the car on the ground. Unfortunately when i put it down the transmission was also blown. I pulled it apart and found a broken fluid pump gear(see pic of old broken fluid pump gear). I replaced the torque converter ($250) and the fluid pump gear ($50) and remounted it and the transmission now leaks. So right now i am about to move and i don't have the time to put a whole new transmission in again. The only problems with the car are: Blown transmission Hood latch needs adjustment, won't latch Drivers side window off the track, motor works find but falls off track when you put it down. No radio or speakers but the front is ready for an aftermarket stereo. The front speakers have new Rockford Fosgate Gamma Riot wires to the doors. The hood lifters do not keep the hood up Now a list of The Good parts: New (used) engine (once i got it i replaced the timing belt, water pump, intake gasket, all new Mopar lifters <---cost me $400 right there) new torque converter It had a complete new front suspension, ball joints, tie rods, struts, steering rack but i has been sitting for about 2 years now. All tires and rims are in good condition I replaced the cloth interior with Black leather interior from a 2000 Dodge intrepid R/T (my old car) It now has a Power Drivers side seat, and both drivers side and passenger side R/T stitching on seats. Battery works and holds a charge A/C works and is cold Heat works with no leaks All new belts New front headlights. Starts right up. All together I'm into this car over $3200. I'm putting it up with no reserve and hopefully someone with some time will put a new transmission into it. I've spent a lot of time (and blood) working on this car so i would hate to see it go to parts but it is what it is. Some of the pictures say 12/4/2010 because that's when i still had it off the ground. The rest i just took today 4/6/2011 Since it's a police edition it has a bigger front sway bar and front brake cooling vents fitted. Also the police light up front does work. Just as another note. I am going on vacation from 4/16 thru 4/23 So you will have to pick this car up on either Thursday 4/14 or Friday 4/15 or wait until i get back from vacation. If you absolutely need it sometime in between i can set something up where my parents can be there (it's at my parents house) This car is being sold AS IS with no warranty.On Apr-07-11 at 08:29:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be 100% clear this car Leaks fluid out of the Transmission bell housing and car DOES NOT move. You will either need to tow it or winch it onto a trailer. I think where i went wrong is When i replaced the fluid pump gear i didn't have a new gasket and so i reused the old black paper gasket on it and since i didn't have a torque spec i just tightened the cover bolts as tight as i could while still being able to turn the output shaft with my hand. When i put it all back together i ran it for a while to let the torque converter prime and the axles did move some but since I've put the wheels back on they don't move at all and it just leaks transmission fluid. I think that it is not able to build up enough pressure inside the torque converter since i didn't tighten those fluid pump cover bolts enough.
