In 1962 only 1,427 total Sport Roadsters were produced. These vehicles were distinguished by having Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, tonneau cover, a special front fender emblem and a grab bar on the passenger side. The coding for the Sports Roadster was established as 76A/85 and 76A/89. The 76A/85- Sport Roadster were produced prior to Jan-1, 1962 and are considered "early production" and the most rare of the Sports Roadsters, this is one of those EARLY PRODUCED Roadsters. All early Roadsters were painted Rangoon Red with Black canvas tops, as this one is. This is THE REAL DEAL and Numbers Matching. This Roadster can be found in the Thunderbird Sports Roadster Registery. The First Video below shows the top working perfectly and this car drives outstanding and would drive anywere. This is a done car with a "little" wear thats typical after a restoration and then owned and enjoyed. This car had original plans to be at Barrett Jackson in Florida, but due to the Nascar race in Texas and filming of a New TV show, the car was unable to make the sale. REAL DEAL. 82-Pictures and 2-Video's Below. 1962 was the first year for the Thunderbird Sports Roadster. In 1962 only 1,427 total Sport Roadsters were produced. These vehicles were distinguished by having Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, tonneau cover, a special front fender emblem and a grab bar on the passenger side. The coding for the Sports Roadster was established as 76A/85 and 76A/89. The 76A/85- Sport Roadster were produced prior to Jan-1, 1962 and are considered "early production" and the most rare of the Sports Roadsters, this is one of those EARLY PRODUCED Roadsters. All early Roadsters were painted Rangoon Red with Black canvas tops, as this one is. This is THE REAL DEAL and Numbers Matching. This Roadster can be found in the Thunderbird Sports Roadster Registery. The First Video below shows the top working perfectly and this car drives outstanding and would drive anywere. This is a done car with a "little" wear thats typical after a restoration and then owned and enjoyed. This car had original plans to be at Barrett Jackson in Florida, but due to the Nascar race in Texas and filming of a New TV show, the car was unable to make the sale.
