Up for auction is a very very nice 1956 Ford F100 pickup.Very hard to find one that hasn't been hotrodded or cut up.Except for the color,just like it left the factory.It has the original drive train.292 Y block 2 barrel carb with the rare (in a pickup) 3 speed Fordomatic automatic transmission.Very nice to drive around.The truck had gone through a complete restoration before I got it and was low miles since then,but had been outside about 6 or 7 years.The paint on the inside is original to the restoration but I just had it painted on the exterior with a quality urethane paint with a top quality clear coat to match the inside.The rest on the exterior has just been freshened up.As you can see the inside paint looks excellent and seats, headliner and carpet are excellent.There was at least 3 coats of the clear coat product sprayed on so plenty to cut and buff if you want to go further.It has been cut and polished once already and looks very good.It's been about 3 months since it's been painted and hasn't been waxed yet.This shine is from the paint job so it will stay this way even when your wax wears off.I don't have any paper work on it but was told that the motor and trans has been rebuilt with maybe 10,000 miles on them.The way it runs and drives I have no doubt.When restored it was completely rewired,all new brakes and suspension was done.I just put a new full 1" thick solid wood floor in the flatbed.It has marker lights on all 4 corners.The flatbed is very nicely made and overloads have been added so so you can actually use the truck and has a sturdy spot for a trailed hitch ball.The side rails are clear vertical grain fir which I opted just to clean and treat with a urethane base clear sealer.The tires are almost new Toyo Spectrum tires with whitewalls to the inside.When I had them put on I decided to go with the blackwalls.This is a truck that you can fly in and drive home but is very showy so be aware of that you'll draw a lot of attention.This is a beauty that you will be proud to own and can use or show.
