.....THIS IS ABOUT AS UNIQUE AS IT GETS..... I got this car from a friend of mine that just needed space in his garage... Here are all the specs of this project: DIESEL ENGINE 3 CYL. Engine model number is Isuzu 3CB1CZP which is the same as the Yanmar 3TNV76. I purchased the engine new on 4/5/08 for $2,500. I have the receipt. The rear differential is from a '83 Mazda B2000 truck, which I needed for the gear ratio.. I also had to buy a '95 Miata rear, which I needed for half axle mating output knuckles. I bought these for $250 and $350 on 6/6/08. Also needed a '95 Miata driveshaft which I bought on 6/9/08 for $125. I have the receipts. This is when I actually started using the car. All of this gear ratio information from this website: http://www.solomiata.com/Drivetrain.html And bought all the parts off of the internet. Bought the convertible top new on 4/21/08. I have that receipt, also had the car painted in 08 Tires have only 10,000 miles on them. 90% The car has electronic digital Tach and Speedometer purchased new from Dakota Digital. These were needed because a diesel engine doesn't have an ignition system to sense engine speed and the differential gear ratio was changed so the transmission speed could no longer sense the car speed. Both are very accurate. Max RPM is very low,about 3,200. This car is not for the speed demon, this car is for the person who likes to cruise around or maybe go around the country for like $60.00 bucks.. (lol) Remeber, it's a diesel engine, they last or ever.. Under 9k miles since conversion was done. He got the idea of putting a small diesel in a small car from the website http://www.rqriley.com/ ..............GET UP TO 55 MPG ........... I HAVE ALL THE RECIEPTS FOR THIS PROJECT. The right side fender has a small dent (see pictures) the interior looks great, has aftermarket pioneer detachable face cd player.
