Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is an all original, like new, collector Honda Magna, Vee 4 cylinder. It has had no restoring and does not need it. It has never been dropped or had the tank repainted. It has no dents on the tank. The side covers have no flaws, and insert perfect onto the frame. The paint is so shiny the pictures appear to have flaws in the paint due to reflections, there is no flaws. The chrome is free of scuffs, and the seat is original and perfect. You are welcome to write me an email and I will send a link to a hosting sight which has better pictures. The last year of “all out Honda” : The first generation V45 Magna was available in 1982. The 1983 model is the same model configuration. It has Dual front disc brakes with groove curved, dual piston calipers on each side, and an adjustable TRAC anti-dive in the front fork assembly. Air assist front forks. The redline is 10,000 rpm. The engine is a 748 cc DOHC 16-valve liquid-cooled 90 degree V-4 linked with six-speed manual transmission with a hydraulically actuated wet-plate clutch and shaft drive. Compression is high, and the stroke is short. The speedometer had a 150 mph (240 km/h) limit. The US government imposed tariff rate hikes for foreign-built motorcycles over 700 cc in order to combat their rise in sales in North America, and to aid the domestic motorcycle manufacturers. Honda responded by reducing the engine size for the VF750s to 698 cc, and the Magna became the VF700C in the USA and lost several of the nice features. This is the nice one with 748cc ! The 1983 has rear shocks with an extra fluid reservoir. To make the gas tank much narrower, they added a 0.9 gallon gas tank under the seat! When the gas is low a light is lit on the dash! The sub- gas tank is located almost in the position of a side cover, well below the level of the carburetor s, and has a low-fuel sensor incorporated into the body. Owing to the low seat height (much lower than in a standard street bike) and cruiser styling of the bike, the main tank is relatively small. Because the bottom end of the sub-tank is so low, the bike has a lower center of gravity. History of this bike: I bought this bike from the second owner 2 years ago with only 4,000. miles on it. He got sick, and drove it very little, sold it due to sickness. I do have records from him and the original owner from 30 years ago. I spent a long time talking to the original owner on the phone. Current mechanical condition: This is a perfect running bike with clean title in hand. Very fast and runs like a champ! At 4000 miles (2) years ago the bike ran, but I had the carburetors professionally rebuilt and synchronized, fluids all changed, and a new battery. For the last 6000 miles the bike ran perfect, and still does. It is in my attached garage at home, or in my garage at work. In the winter I pull it into the house! Just had an oil and filter change, as in every spring. Tires are good for this summer, or you may want to change them. Features/add-ons: All stock…except very quiet and comfortable full wind screen even covering the grip, small chrome engine guard. And a custom narrow small profile rear luggage rack which carries a large gym bag most of the time. Original tool kit. Claimed 80.3 bhp, 46 MPG all around. Must sell, Bill.Payment due in full within 7 business days, I am NW of Chicago , in Rockford IL Bill
